The moment someone describes what mathematics researchers work on as “math problems” is the moment I know they are fucking midwit imbeciles
Mathematicians bursting into tears because someone else did math problems is contemptibe. Get a real job.

OpenAI fired me last week, along with two of my safety colleagues. I was given one reason: that I accessed an executive's email. I want to say this plainly, because too many of OpenAI’s history is smoke and mirrors when people disappear:
Two other safety researchers and I were fired from OpenAI last week. We wrote this letter to leadership. I believe we were fired for prioritizing safety over the near-term interests of OpenAI as a corporation.

If we’re actually being serious, Takuma winning obviously isn’t proving this. He probably would have prior results if he played in a tpci circuit instead of the japanese system. I can only imagine there’s more players just like him over there. Dicerolling part still true tho
I guess this is supposed to be inspiring, my cynical ass takes this as further proof that being world champ is just about dicerolling for years on end until it’s your lucky day

Hey @SpiritAirlines, our flight was delayed by more than 3 hours and we are all legally allowed a refund. Please explain why your staff was threatening to kick people off the plane for telling others not to get scammed Please retweet for awareness

I’ve gotten a few pms about this so just to put it out there, I did not in fact play in the malaysia nationals. In short I was incredibly busy + sick, I wasn’t able to lock my rental team before the deadline which is a whole week before the tournament fsr

Not getting a chance to continue my worlds invite streak sucks but ultimately that means nothing compared to actually having a good worlds finish. I don’t think I’d be able to lock in enough for worlds this year anyway. See yall next season maybe

In fairness, Arsenal fans couldn’t see the ball hit Havertz’s arm last week so they’re definitely not going to see Gakpo’s ankle get clipped there. They’re struggling

Bubbled out of cut at 4-2 for the premier ball league. Like seriously can I have one tournament this year without awful rng, getting my +6 archaludon crit into nothing I can do to bring it back because it’s freaking bo1 lmao

Not usually one to complain about luck but my rng in vgc tournaments since (and including) worlds has been some of the worst luck I’ve ever had in 15+ years of playing competitive mons. I can literally feel the collective malding of the entire nation of spain flowing through me

If anyone needs spec passes for worlds I’ve still got both of mine, giving them out for free since idrc. Need to let me know by the 8th since that’s the deadline to fill in spectator details

Once again, another top cut at nats for me and no title or TA. Achieved the minumum requirement of preserving my 100% worlds invite record, 5 consecutive seasons since I started playing in 2018. Pretty disappointed though as I played badly on stream.

I don’t know if I’ll attend worlds as I’m unsure if I want to pay to attend out of my own pocket. This is the issue with nats being so late, as flight prices are pretty crazy rn

The VGC competitions in Asia are managed by The Pokémon Company. Unlike in Europe and America where the system is relatively well-established, Asian players have been almost excluded from participating in competitions by Pokémon officials in the past two years. #Pokemon #VGC

Can’t say I agree w this one chief. In fact I may even go as far as to say that if you’re completely new, you’re wasting your money if you pay for the most accomplished coaches right off the bat. [1/5]
Alright - Toxic Tommy is coming out - I haven’t seen it as much recently but anyone offering coaching services better have won a regional, Top 8 consistently or are in the day 2 race Don’t pay new players for coaching - if you want them to be your friend pay for that Go to a more experienced coach if you are actually considering spending money on coaching to get better at the game Sorry not sorry

Vgc/gaming “education” if you will isn’t anywhere near as developed as traditional education, but there’s no reason to believe tournament accomplishments correlate to having the secret sauce in helping people master the basics effectively. [5/6 oops]

At the very least unless money is really no object to you I’d say you’re better holding off on the high priced tutoring sessions until you’ve learned enough to be able to appreciate what your high-level tutor is saying [6/6]
