I just got the OK from some important, generous people to cover #UFC248. It'll be the last UFC event (along with many other orgs) I GIF for the foreseeable future. A new chapter is upon me and it's exciting. Thank y'all for helping me level up. Let's end Phase One with a bang. 👊
Proof that Israel Adesanya is this generation's Anderson Silva: He chose his eighth UFC bout to have his first legendarily terrible fight.
Silva's eighth UFC foe? Patrick Côté. This is a next-level homage to his hero. #UFC248
Zhang Weili and Joanna Jędrzejczyk just staged the best women's bout of all time, nay one of the best you'll ever see in any damn context. We are truly blessed. 🙏
What an incredible bout between Beneil Dariush and Drakkar Klose! Second-round pyrotechnics conclude with Klose's mouthpiece dangling. 😯
Among MMA's noodly assassins, few are as comfortable up close as Neil Magny. #UFC248
Alex "Cowboy" Oliveira edges Max "Pain" Griffin in the battle of welterweight action fighters. This was bloody and turbulent - a great PPV opener. #UFC248
With six combined reigns across three divisions, Yuki Motoya (@yuki_motoya) and Takafumi Otsuka clashed for bragging rights among DEEP's all-time greats. And it's the former who mastered his foe - displaying enhanced boxing ability to go with his grappling chops. #DEEP94IMPACT
Ryuichiro Sumimura (@10_ryuichiro) is still your DEEP welterweight champ, warring with former king Yuta Watanabe in their rematch to snag a stirring UD win. His second successful defense boosts him to 16-7. 'Twas one of the better fights this weekend. 👏 #DEEPIMPACT94
KRAZY BEE's Kyosuke Yokoyama (13-7, 1 NC) moves to 4-1 in his last five, taking time to constrict the consciousness out of Daisuke Tatsumi in round three! The arm triangle choke caps an impressive showing for the 2015 PANCRASE Neo Blood champ. #DEEP94Impact
Life as a single dad starts swell for Kizaemon Saiga, as the RIZIN and K-1 alum stops Thailand's JACK in a swift and chaotic MMA return! A series of body shots incorrectly ruled low blows set up the finish. #DEEP94IMPACT
Right on time, the God of War exacts his violent toll. Deiveson Figueiredo completes the tragedy of Joe Benavidez, collapsing the legend and denying him a belt forever. Where do the flyweights go from here? #UFCNorfolk
Easy money for Felicia Spencer, squashing Zarah Fairn in one round. Do we sacrifice her to Nunes or give that privilege to Megan? #UFCNorfolk
I count three, maybe four strikes landing in this entire finishing sequence. An early contender for worst ref blunder of the year. #UFCNorfolk
This is the Megan Anderson we've been waiting for since Invicta - a first-round knockout of Norma Dumont! #UFCNorfolk
Grant Dawson (15-1) survives a first-round guillotine and swamps Darrick Minner on the mat thereafter, snaring a second-round neck crank finish. He moves to 3-0 in the UFC. #UFCNorfolk
