MEDIA ANNOUNCEMENT
The LAND Party Chief Leader to Undertake a Three-Day Overberg Roadshow
The LAND Party announces that its Chief Leader will undertake a three-day roadshow across the Overberg. He will meet residents, visit families he has known for many years, and engage communities to vote for the LAND Party on all three ballot papers.
Across communities
The Chief Leader will visit Black, Coloured and White families. This includes a 75-year-old resident of Pearly Beach, other members of the White community in Hermanus, and residents of White City and Sandbaai.
Standing with families in grief
In Zwelihle, he will visit the Mdodana family, who lost their son, and the Mcinjana family, who lost their son, father and husband at Thambo as a result of the ongoing taxi violence. These visits are made in solidarity with families who continue to carry that loss.
A pilgrimage, not only a campaign
This journey is more than a political campaign. It is a pilgrimage. The Chief Leader is not visiting these families to ask for their votes. He is visiting them to show that they remain close to him, that they are still important to him, and that they are in his prayers and thoughts, as they have always been.
He will seek the blessings of the elders as he accepts the responsibility of standing as Executive Mayor.
He will visit:
- His mother, Mam’Nxodo, near the taxi rank, where he will open a gate so that she can move more easily to the shop
- His sister, Nolukhanyo Gxowa, next to the rank
- Mamu Winnie Nywebeni, together with Mam’ Ponoane, wife of the late Tatu Shona
- Mam’ Lusiba, Nopa, Magcwanini and Tat’Kompela
- Boss and the Gwatyu family
- His home and the Matakataka family, including the Mavata family
- The Kamana family, both at the old location and at eMasakeni, including the Zondani family
- The Ndlela family in White City
- The Magwaza family in the old location, together with the Pike family
- Sisi Vivian and the Nondala family, who helped shape the person he is today
- Mam’ Tebele, Prince, Koloko and the Jimlongo family
These are families who have been a blessing to him, and families who are close to him. He visits them to show that he has not forgotten them.
The same pattern of family visits, listening and community engagement will be followed in Caledon, Grabouw, Masakhane and the other towns on the route.
Listening to residents
The Chief Leader will not only greet these families. He will listen to their challenges with service delivery and municipal services.
He will be accompanied by members of the Central Committee and members of the LAND PARTY.
Residents of the Overberg are invited to meet the LAND PARTY Chief Leader along the route.

Vote LAND Party for Meaningful Change Across South Africa
City of Cape Town
If you live in the City of Cape Town, vote for the LAND Party so that we can address the ongoing shootings and crime by prioritising community safety and youth development. We will abolish shacks by building proper houses for people. We will redirect the money the DA plans to spend on the proposed Westbank wall, which we believe would segregate Black and Coloured communities, towards development that unites rather than divides our people. Instead of spending money on dog parks, we will prioritise building sports complexes for children from poor and working-class communities.
Vote LAND Party in the City of Cape Town to revitalise Bellville into an inclusive trading city that creates opportunities for local businesses and traders.
City of Johannesburg
If you live in the City of Johannesburg, you deserve clean, running water, a clean city, and a dedicated anti-hijacking unit to combat building hijackings. We will promote formal trading opportunities for local traders, end illegal mining and illicit trading, and intensify the fight against crime.
We will transform Alexandra and other informal settlements block by block, ensuring that communities receive proper housing and essential services. We will work towards making Johannesburg a city that operates 24/7 and creates a shared future for all.
City of Tshwane
Vote LAND Party to ensure that everyone in Tshwane has access to safe drinking water. We will oppose the privatisation of water services and advocate for the protection of public water infrastructure against sabotage and neglect. We believe that South Africa must strengthen its own water security and infrastructure rather than become overly dependent on water supplies or expertise from foreign countries, including Israel, particularly given the geopolitical instability that can affect international partnerships.
Mthatha (Umtata)
If you want to see Mthatha developed into a modern, thriving, crime-free city that attracts investors and creates opportunities for its people, vote LAND Party for meaningful change.
We will connect Mthatha with surrounding rural communities through proper public road networks, provide free connections to clean water and electricity, and improve street lighting.
We will subsidise small-scale farmers, strengthen security measures to prevent stock theft, and introduce collective farming initiatives to increase agricultural production and achieve food security.
Ekurhuleni
Vote LAND Party to enforce zero tolerance for corruption, combat crime, and end illegal mining in Ekurhuleni.
We will promote a workforce comprising at least 90% local workers and up to 10% foreign workers, subject to applicable labour laws and employment requirements. This approach aims to expand opportunities for South African citizens while reducing tensions and countering xenophobic and anti-migrant narratives. Through skills development, entrepreneurship, and job creation, we will empower people to become economically self-sufficient, contribute productively to the economy, and help fight crime by addressing unemployment.
We will scrap excessive municipal account debts, abolish auxiliary electricity charges, and provide free basic water to residents. Municipal land will be made available for people to establish businesses, develop community gardens, and obtain serviced stands with access to water, electricity, sanitation, and roads.
We will also ensure that qualifying pensioners are automatically enrolled in the indigent support programme, removing unnecessary administrative barriers and helping them access the assistance they deserve.
Vote LAND Party for a shared future, economic justice, safer communities, affordable services, and meaningful development for all. We are @Voting_LAND 🟩 🟥 🟨 ✊️

To those who claim it was better during apartheid, please take the time to watch "Last Grave at Dimbaza". During apartheid, there was one doctor for every 400 white people, while there was only one doctor for every 44,000 black people. Three in five black people had TB or kwashiorkor; you would have to walk 80 km to a clinic, and you could be moved at any given time.
Botha’s justification was that black people liked to be moved. It is disgusting and embarrassing to see black people, because of the ANC’s failures, now joining parties like the DA and VF Plus.
The racists are making noise about water in Bronkhorstspruit and Makhanda, thinking that we have forgotten that they used water to kill black people during apartheid. Close to 1,000 people died because of the water in Dimbaza, which was used as a dumping ground for black people displaced by the apartheid government. youtu.be/gdgCBXXHkDE?si=oJNy…
The Cape Town Metro leadership is holding public consultations with the people. The people of Delft informal settlements, Kraaifontein, and other informal settlements deserve houses. Only the Land Party will provide them with houses. We are @Voting_LAND 🟩 🟥 🟨 ✊️

4. WHERE DOES JOHANNESBURG’S MONEY GO?
I want a thorough examination of the city’s budget to identify wasteful expenditure, financial leakages and opportunities to improve revenue collection.
Residents deserve transparent financial reporting. We must protect the budgets allocated to infrastructure and maintenance.
Public money must serve the public.

Vote for the LAND Party so that elderly people stop suffering and being discriminated against by having to stand in queues to apply for an indigent grant every 12 months. We will automatically and permanently place them on the indigent grant register. There are only 11 days left until the upcoming local government elections.
