I’d look at you in wonder, wondering how I got so lucky. I’d hold on to you as if afraid to let go. As if I finally felt at peace in your presence. To have a partner that lets me become as soft and small as this little otter, a partner that holds me with tenderness and care—I can only hope to have one someday.
