Today I'm starting a two-week tour of 21 DCPS schools and rec centers in every DC Ward alongside @DCDGS, @dcpublicschools, @DCDPR, @DCSBOE, Councilmembers, and ANCs. We will be working to identify systemic changes needed to improve the way DC maintains and repairs its buildings.

My favorite part of this strategy is that my son came home Friday to tell me that his favorite teacher has been fired for next year as the theater program at his middle school got cut. Thanks @DCPSChancellor

What the Mayor put forth was a much tighter budget than recent years. I think if you add up what we’ve managed to do, we were able to find considerable resources for the city's needs. My press release: bit.ly/MendelsonFY24 Full budget proposal: ChairmanMendelson.com/2023/0…

The program embodies, and overcomes, many of the challenges at D.C. public schools, which have limited resources for baseball.
