This is a foundational moment for crypto adoption, but it’s not about speculation, it’s about infrastructure alignment. Visa’s public commitment to stablecoin integration and tokenized real world assets (RWAs) marks the transition of crypto from parallel rails to embedded rails. And the biggest beneficiaries won’t necessarily be memecoins or DeFi tokens, it’ll be the middleware and settlement layer protocols that enable global, compliant, scalable interoperability with traditional finance. Here’s who benefits most: 1.USDC (Circle) and possibly PayPal USD (PYUSD) as Visa integrates credentials directly on top of stablecoins, it will lean toward regulated, institution friendly issuers. Circle, with its partnerships and regulatory posture, is likely to lead. If USDC becomes a default bridge for Visa cross-border or B2B flows, it will anchor volume across all supported chains. 2.Ethereum and Layer 2s (Arbitrum, Base, Optimism) Visa’s architecture modernization favors settlement-layer composability. The integration of USDC, and potentially tokenized RWAs, will likely route through Ethereum-native stacks, especially those offering low fees and institutional custody support. L2s that can provide stable, low-latency throughput will become global B2B payment rails. 3.Stellar (XLM) and Ripple (XRP) This is where the narrative meets real world need. Visa specifically cited emerging markets and cross-border payments, both are domains where Stellar and Ripple have been building infrastructure for years. If Visa layers its credentials into corridors already using Stellar anchors or RippleNet style liquidity bridges, these assets stand to see renewed relevance, not as speculative assets, but as backbone pipes. 4.Tokenization protocols and oracles (Chainlink, Centrifuge) If Visa supports tokenized RWAs, the protocols that standardize, verify, and connect off-chain assets to on-chain finance become essential. This opens a path for Chainlink’s CCIP oracles and projects building asset registries for supply chains, receivables, or invoices to serve as enterprise gateways. This is about protocols becoming infrastructure. Visa isn’t betting on retail yield farming. It’s positioning for global demand for dollar stability, programmable compliance, and FX disintermediation. And stablecoins, especially those built for institutions, not retail traders are becoming the Trojan horse for global crypto adoption. Not Financial Advice.
🚨 BREAKING 🚨 Visa CEO says they’re bullish on CRYPTO and will support tokenized RWAs on their network.
