Civil Defence will not deploy during Red Weather Alerts. During & after Storm Éowyn, the public should not contact local Civil Defence Units but dial 999 for any emergencies. Local councils, HSE & the emergency services will request assistance from us as needed. #stormeowyn

Local and national emergency planning teams have met to confirm preparations for the upcoming cold weather. County Wexford should miss the worst of it but this situation could change and will be monitored closely. North Wexford may fall into the Orange level of warning, but this cant be confirmed as yet - the national system is county-based.
Key Messages: There will be wintry showers which will create difficult driving conditions. All road users should slow down, use extreme caution and take account both of local conditions and those along your intended journey. Pedestrians be aware of slippery footpaths. See met.ie for most up to date info. Wexford County Council's emergency number is 05391 96000. @SouthEastRadio @Wexford_People @GoreyGuardian @newrossstandard @EnniscGuardian
