What just happened makes me want to puke. We snatched defeat from the jaws of victory… completely self-destructed aka completely shit our pants. This one is gonna take some time to get over…

Funny how these things work. He makes a good and obvious point (to us G6 folk anyway). It’s all fun and games until you get relegated and locked out - which is almost exactly what has happened to G6 for quite some time now.

You're going to see ACC and Big 12 fans whine that this will lock their teams out of major non-conference games, weakening their SoS, and thus CFP access... just like the ACC's and Big 12's 9-conference games + one P4 is freezing out the G6. It was fine... until it impacted them.

Glad to get that W! Side note: Rice, do better with your video production. That was absolutely awful. Local high schools produce better games than what I saw today.

The Next Round
@NextRoundLiveOct 15
We now have a 24-team CFB Playoff coming next season, pending approval. If the 24-team format would've existed since the CFP started in 2014, a staggering 80 TEAMS would've made an appearance to this point.

Tulsa is missing from both Big12 and ACC consideration - we should be in the mix with our friends from Tulane.

Sources: Tulsa quarterback Baylor Hayes (knee) will start on Thursday night at home against North Texas. He missed Tulsa's past two games, including the loss at Arkansas this weekend. Hayes completed nearly 71-percent of his passes in Tulsa's upset of Oklahoma State.

A 24-team playoff will drastically change the bowl system. But how? Whatever future holds, Power 4 teams have “no desire” to play Group of 6 in bowls. "They would stop playing G6 teams tomorrow if they could,” source told @On3 A deep dive into the bowls on3.com/news/the-bowl-system…

The bowl system is dying: What a 24-team playoff means for the games that built college football

A 24-team college football playoff would shake up the current bowl system. What becomes of bowl games remains uncertain.
