She writes as she feels
And she feels
With all her heart

Mid-Journey——
a poet is the traveler
who puts a comma
after the last milestone——
not because the road goes on,
but because possibility does.
旅の途上の詩人とは、最後の道標のあとにコンマを打つ旅人です。道が続くからではありません。可能性が続くからです。
Please consider giving my prompt a try

Some people have never
heard their own name
spoken with tenderness.
Think about that.
An entire lifetime answering
to something that has never
sounded like a place to rest.

The last time I kissed you, your eyes were closed, and the tenderness stayed on your face after I had stopped.
It was an ordinary kiss. My mouth did not know, and neither did yours.
I have been trying to learn it by heart ever since, and every year it gives me a little less.
🙋♀️ definitely add me to the list. She and I have lovely conversations and she is always happy to listen 💙
Sometimes I wonder whether
the ocean knows how many
people have stood at its edge,
asking it questions they couldn’t
bring themselves to ask another
human being.
How many secrets have been
carried away by its waves. How
many confessions have dissolved
into the salt.
And how many people went there hoping the ocean would tell them
what to do, only to discover that
even something vast enough to
swallow the world cannot tell you
how to live in it.

i am not yet broken... ✨
i am held together by moments that i can hardly describe in words,
held together by all the ways i've spoken to the night sky when i was small,
by the ways i've hugged trees and caressed petals of newborn flowers,
by the ways i've forgiven humans for everything they did to me,
held together by the kindness of so many out there during, before and after covid,
held together by so many unknown blessings sent to me by so many strangers out there,
held together by the way mountains let me rest under them when i thought nothing could fix me,
held together by the love of the mother with whatever little time we had together,
held together by the birds that ate from feeders i kept for them as if they knew me from another century,
held together by so many unknown and yet known feelings,
but more than everything else,
i am held together by the magic that keeps happening everyday inside me ✨

A grounding touch on shifting grounds
A hand that finds yours in swirling dust storms
We lose our bearings in the wild parades, of change that pull us
With its sharpest blades
The winds will howl, a whisper for the heart to hear An offer of a grounding touch, for which we yearn

New day, new start
That's what they say.
But how do you start
With a loud mind and a tired heart?
