Angel Reese has a real DPOY case!!!
She’s averaging 12.4 rebounds and 1.8 steals a game, and Atlanta’s defense is nearly 13 points better per 100 possessions when she’s on the floor.
The biggest thing with Angel is she ends possessions. A stop isn’t a stop if you force a miss and give the offense another chance. Nobody controls the glass like she does. She already broke the single-season rebounding record and had a WNBA-record 26 rebounds in one game.
She can switch, create turnovers, defend bigger players and then actually finish the possession by getting the rebound.
DPOY shouldn’t just be about who blocks the most shots. If we’re talking overall defensive impact, Angel Reese belongs right in the middle of that conversation.

Dream spokesperson on where Game 6 of the Finals in Atlanta will be played, via @alexaphilippou:
"We are waiting to hear from the league if any changes can be made to allow us to play in State Farm Arena. If not, the game will be played in Gateway Center Arena."
Gateway Center Arena's capacity is around 3,500, while State Farm Arena's is 17,000.
This is the starting 5 I’m ALWAYS going to ride for. 💯
Through the highs, the lows, the criticism, and everything in between.
Angel Reese. Allisha Gray. Jordin Canada. Rhyne Howard. Naz Hillmon.
I’ve seen what this group is capable of when they’re locked in. The chemistry, toughness, defense, and trust they have in each other is special.
Win or lose, I’m riding with these 5 EVERY TIME. 🏀🔥

This needed to be a big defensive stop after cutting it to 6 Valkyries came down and got a rhythm 3. No ball pressure at all on this whole possession
Angel Reese haters really are some front running individuals. They only speak up when they think they have the upper hand and it’s easy to pile on. But that’s okay. Front runners love the moment, but they never win in the long run.
Atlanta’s defense gave them a chance. The offense couldn’t finish the job.
Game 4:
18/54 FG — 33.3%
4/23 from three — 17.4%
22/31 FT — 71.0%
9 assists, 18 turnovers
Golden State wins 67–62. Finals tied 2–2.
Too many empty trips in a five point loss. #DoItForTheDream
