If you're grow a food in a lab, palm oil is a bad choice. It's *the* most productive oil crop, by a lot AND it's a perennial. Yes, it's driven deforestation & we need to stop that! But use labs to replace less efficient crops. nytimes.com/2024/03/09/clima…

Global #soybean production & exports. 🌎 Traders anticipate slight reductions for the #Brazil crop on tomorrow's #USDA report & an increase in #Argentina #soy production. Brazil leads the way as the top global exporter of soybeans. (Thanks to Keegan at TFM for the pie chart.)

Statewide we didn't see a yield difference between the E3 and XF platforms. That's great news for WI farmers as they have weed management options. Pick a platform, select a high yielding variety in that platform, and plant early in 2024!

Tar Spot is here. Observed in multiple counties in central IA within past 24 hours - all at low isolated levels. We will stick to the plan on fungicide for most fields - waiting for at least brownsilks unless pressure ramps up.
