Great modernization step by @USOPM!
Hoping to see this portal expand to support court-appointed fiduciaries and Representative Payees managing records for retired federal employees who are unable to log in directly.

Former federal employees can now request their official personnel records online.
OPM's new eOPF Document Request Service provides a faster, more secure way to access records—replacing an outdated paper-based process. Read more: opm.gov/news/news-releases/o…
Good rainy morning from Washington, D.C., especially to the fellow pluviophiles. 🙂☔️

In the background, the Lincoln Memorial is flanked by two large, brightly lit electronic American flag displays. Two physical American flags fly on tall poles on the left and right sides of the frame.

Plans change fast, and sometimes that happens after you’ve already tapped in! 😬 That’s why Metro offers a 15-minute grace period on rail. If plans change, just tap out at the same station within 15 minutes to avoid paying for a trip you didn’t take.
Happy first day of school to all observing!
May your schedule be just what you hoped for, your snacks be on point, and your chair not betray you with a wobble or a squeak.
And to the folks braving the drop-off line:
May you navigate the parking lot chaos with the precision of a stunt driver and not spill a drop of coffee while you do it.
Go forth and crush it. 🎒✏️🏫

The recent high water on the Ocoee River makes me want to go rafting on it again real bad. 🙃🌊🛶

Ah yes, the height of bus opulence in the 90s.
Seriously though, this picture is giving major flashbacks to overnight band trips and sing-a-longs.
The picture was grainy, the sound was pretty much nonexistent, but at least it kept us entertained and sometimes quiet. 🚌📺🙃
May you extend grace and withhold judgment of yourself if you're feeling like you're not doing enough when you're already doing what you can.

Been a minute since I've been active on this platform.
And I'm assessing.
Got tips on how to handle the (new-ish to me) landscape? Feel free to share! 🙂

Our application is OPEN! 🍊
Get started at apply.utk.edu, and save this post so you can reference these important dates later.
On this morning's walk, I saw a little one wearing a Christmas tree headband.
And I don't know... I guess if you needed a sign to start decorating and spreading holiday cheer a little early, I'm pretty sure this is it.
I do not make the rules.

Shout-out to all the marching bands starting a brand new season at band camp this week (or next... or next... or whenever! 🙃)!
May y’all stay hydrated.
May the sweat not drip in your eyes while standing at attention.
May y'all remember to keep your knees bouncy and unlocked.
And most importantly...
May y'all have fun making music and memories with your band fam! 😎🎵🥁

Will always remember running into @LindseyGrahamSC on the Hill a few years after moving to D.C.
I got a little too excited and blurted out, "I was born in South Carolina!"
(In hindsight: What was I thinking? Why am I like this? 🙃) 🧵👇
Instead of walking by, Sen. Graham stopped to ask where. He loved that I was born on an Air Force Base and that my Grandma taught first grade in South Carolina.
And get this: He ended the interaction with a fist bump!
Just a genuinely kind moment that's stuck with me all these years.
May Senator Lindsey Graham rest in peace.
Taco Bell out here doing flawless proactive risk mitigation.
They said, "Listen. Y'all joke on us enough as is. What y'all NOT gon' do is drag us for a code brown guac attack from *checks notes, squints* explosive diarrhea, okay?" 🙃🌮

Thinking about the team responsible for @TacoBell's social listening and brand management.
All the triaging must be... a lot.
Hoping they get to log off early because I imagine the notifications have been non-stop for days.
I see y'all because I've been there, too. 🧡
