Apartheid Israel represents pure, unadulterated evil
“Women and children are stuck & can’t get out!” Floodwaters mixed with sewage inundate Gaza City’s streets and displacement tents as the first winter storm hits. Israeli attacks destroyed 220,000m of sewage pipes and 15,000m of storm drains, cutting drainage capacity by over 80%

This is so strong and clear. You can't help but notice that if this was in the UK context - you wouldn't be able to get a single one of these sentences out without a journalist barracking the person saying it constantly. The UK media is in quite a state.
I've been in politics for a quarter century. It's hard to express how staggering it is to see a conversation like this on corporate US media. The Morning Joe panel gobsmacked by the directness of @AbdulElSayed's points. (clip via @DropSiteNews)

Last night was one of the worst nights Gaza has seen. The bombs have never stopped raining down on them, and when the actual rain fell upon them, their tents flooded. So many missing limbs, all missing loved ones, most without homes. And the world just pretended it stopped. I didn’t even post an image with people this time because they’re sick of showing us images of themselves in desperation without action on our part. A reminder to you and me to not forget them because they’re no longer in your feed.

Three in five American Jews believe that Jewish organizations are exploiting fears of antisemitism in order to defend unpopular Israeli policies. You can’t say it loud enough: these people do not speak for us.

Dear @ABlinken I too am a former politician having served under Nelson Mandela. U r a disingenuous, lying hypocrite: your ‘consultancy’ WestExec was a perfect example of self dealing & war profiteering. Your complicity in the Gaza genocide & the diversion of their money to Israel & other warmongers, is what ordinary people are sick of. U r exactly what people hate about politicians. I hope you face justice for your crimes. In the meantime, at least develop an iota of self awareness, you corrupt, murderous fraud
The midterm results send a clear message: How we show up in the world affects our lives at home, and Americans understand that. When we alienate allies, appease autocrats, impose arbitrary tariffs, and drive needless conflict, American families pay the price. The Administration’s actions over the last two years have had real consequences for our security, our economy, and our everyday lives. Americans have spoken loud and clear. We should act on the message they're sending.  A good place to start: a diplomatic resolution to President Trump's war of choice with Iran.

All the vile and despicable Islamophobia coming out of the so-called “Christians” and rabid Zionists is fine.
"Do you believe that leaders have a responsibility to challenge the extremist views within their own religion?" Sara Haines's question to the first Muslim senator on The View today. When was the last time you saw Chuck Schumer asked to challenge extremist Jews, or Ted Cruz asked to challenge extremist Christians? This is what an Islamophobic double standard looks like.

We have this utterly childish taboo in our political discourse on discussing of how violence aimed at the US or Israel is the result of the massive bloodshed and killing of innocents the US and Israel bring to the world. @AbdulElSayed said nothing wrong:

What happens when an unaccompanied child in Gaza is found amid the rubble? For too many, a long path toward identification amid Israel's genocide has lasting implications and few answers, writes Gaza-based journalist Farah Ehab Abu Samra in @DAWN_Journal.  dawnmena.org/how-israels-war…

Listen to El-Sayed. Yes, he's cocky. Yes, he doesn't hide his brains. He has enough confidence in himself and in his identity to let everyone know that he will never accept anything less than full equality. That he and people like him will redefine what it means to be American. You know who he reminds me of: All those brash Jews who crashed through the barriers of antisemitism in the middle of the last century. I am an American, Michigan-born.
El-Sayed: "Mike, enjoy your retirement ... you chose hate, and Michigan chose hope ... JD, habibi -- there is this delicious irony in the fact that you are constitutionally obligated to swear me in in January. Wolverines 1, Buckeyes 0."

BREAKING: HOLY SMOKES! Democrats now control enough states to effectively abolish the Electoral College through the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact. Republicans did NOT have this on their bingo cards... Under the Constitution, states control their electoral votes and are allowed to decide how they are allocated during presidential elections. Currently, almost every state gives its votes to whoever wins the state. In practice, the current system means that a candidate can win the national popular vote, but lose the election because small states like Wyoming exert undue influence on the outcome. That state has 3 electoral votes with a population of just 577,000 people. California has 54 electoral votes and a population of 39.5 million people. So a vote in Wyoming is essentially 3.8 times as valuable as one in California. Since 1992, Democrats have won the popular vote seven out of nine times. Under the NPV, states that join agree to give their electoral votes to whoever wins the national popular vote, not just their own state. So a state could go red on the map, but if the Democrat wins the national vote, they still get that state's votes. And vice versa of course. The crucial mechanism is that the compact doesn't trigger until the member states have a combined power of at least 270 electoral votes, the number needed to win the White House. So far, 18 states plus D.C. have joined, totaling 222 electoral votes. We only need 48 more. Now is the chance to pass this measure in every state possible. Democrats won both houses of the legislature in Wisconsin for the first time in 18 years (10 electoral votes). We won the Pennsylvania state Senate for the first time since 1993 (19 votes). We now have a trifecta in Michigan (15 votes). And we won the governor’s race in Nevada (6 votes). 10 + 19 + 15 + 6 = 50. 222 + 50 = 272. And if we hold our lead in the Arizona Senate, that number could climb as high as 283, more than enough to trigger the compact. In addition to removing an imbalance in our system that favors Republicans, this novel approach would fundamentally change how candidates run their presidential campaigns. Currently, they are incentivized to ignore most of the country. If you live in a “safe” state, red or blue, your vote for President is basically decided before you cast it. Campaigns spend their time and money in a handful of swing states while the rest of us watch from the sidelines. If the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact is adopted, they'll have reason to hit every state because they're aiming to win the largest swath of the country as a whole, not just certain states. States have until July 20, 2028 to join the compact in time for the next presidential election. We can fix our democracy. The time is now. Please ❤️ and share if you support this idea!
