After taking @becmedwards up Place Fell for our 1st date and her 1st Wainwright (luckily she got hooked) she has just become part of the 214 club. So I thought it was time to ask her to join me on our next adventure and asked her to marry me on her final fell. She said yes 💍

6 weeks out with a knee injury, so wanted to ease myself back in. I then thought sod it and did the Keswick 3 peaks challenge as my first walk back. Seriously tough in this heat, but had a fantastic time!

The Langdale photoshoot from 35 years ago, and the same scene today. Alfred Wainwright, Andrew Nichol and Ken Shepherd. Three friends simply enjoying each other's company in one of the most beautiful parts of the Lake District.
Few from the 21 mile #ullswaterway yesterday. What a fantastic long(ish) distance walk this is. Well signposted and good paths. We stayed at the @TheQuietSite as our base camp which actually on the trail. I Would highly recommend both the walk and accommodation 👌
Only took this because it reminded me of a Bob Ross painting and a "happy tree" he used to put in right in the dying seconds of the program.
