Notable that @Keir_Starmer on @bbcradio3 Private Passions talked about the arts/music disappearing from our schools and musicians unable to tour Europe post Brexit. You are right so please don't delay and take action now to sort these issues @ISM_music theguardian.com/politics/202…

This - just in case anyone doubted the importance and relevance of great music…

96% capacity. Who wouldn’t be ecstatic at that figure for 5,900 tickets (incl. 1000 standing) 7 nights a week for 8 solid weeks? + 10.6m TV watchers, 4.6m streaming @BBCiPlayer & @BBCSounds. So much for classical music being so unpopular. @bbcproms @DCMS #NotJustTheLastNight

CLASSIC FM HALL OF FAME VOTING LINES ARE OPEN We have until noon on 15 March 2024 to get Byrd's NE IRASCARIS into the Classic FM Hall of Fame. William Byrd has, insofar as we can tell, never appeared in the Hall of Fame AT ALL. This changes this year. halloffame.classicfm.com/202…
Image shows details of our campaign to get Ne Irascaris into the Classic FM Hall of Fame by following these steps, and acknowledging the notes at the bottom. Step 1. Go to the Classic FM Hall of Fame link here https://halloffame.classicfm.com/2024/ Step 2. Select "Ne Irascaris - William Byrd" as one of your three choices Step 3. Get as many others as you can to follow Steps 1 & 2 NOTES Make sure you specify Ne Irascaris, not Civitas, so the vote doesn't inadvertently get split The competition is open to UK residents only (International friends, you could always message a UK friend on your behalf...)

It was close across Facebook and Twitter but let's see if we can get NE IRASCARIS into the Hall of Fame. Once Classic FM open the voting we'll link the page itself. Let's do this.
