That pesky Storm Boelo damaged one of our favourite stained glass windows at Durham Cathedral over the weekend. The RAF window is a popular stop on our tours, and its story is one of our favourites (good old Cuthbert). #WalkaboutDurham #durham

We've had a cheeky little afternoon off tours! A wander around the Cathedral (yes, we still visit), a trip to the cinema, and coffee and scones at Cafédral. Plus, hot sauce to take home! #WalkaboutDurham #Durham

When George R. R. Martin visited Hadrian’s Wall in 1981, it inspired The Wall in #GameOfThrones! Our wall may be smaller, but it has just as much history. Join us on a tour and explore it yourself! walkaboutdurham.com/northeas… #HadriansWall #NorthEastEngland

Dogs are always welcome on our Durham walking tours! Meet Poppy & Harley, two of this week’s four-legged guests. Poppy wasn’t keen on the camera! We finish our History Tour outside the Cathedral, where dogs are welcome too! #VisitDurham #DogFriendly #WalkingTours

Fresh ground coffee from Bean to Brew. This is also one of our favourite spots for a coffee on the go between tours. A small, independent business run by people who really care about what they do, just like us. @BeanToBrew #Durham #SupportLocal

Our tours over the weekend were made even better by the banners and banging of pots and pans as the current students welcomed the new. A fantastic atmosphere. How lucky we are to live in such a friendly city!

What a pleasure it was to take this fantastic group around Lindisfarne and Bamburgh this week. Sunshine, seals and even a rainbow to wave us off.
