I'm elated with yesterday's election results. Mr. Eby governed with big ideas poorly formed, and we were already suffering the mischief thereof. While I don't relish criticizing a man already defeated, I wish to point out that Mr. Eby essentially defeated himself. It is then incumbent on those elected - and those in support - to serve with all humility, attention and grace - to prove ourselves worthy of this opportunity granted by chance, that we might improve our province measure by measure, for the benefit of all.

My friends, I thought we had lost this battle when the legislation was originally passed, but the battle was not over. The legislation risked legalized suicide for people struggling with curable mental health issues. We owe our neighbours and countrymen better than that.

Covid has faded in the minds of the electorate, but that's not the case for many of you. I understand some of you are at odds with the BC Conservatives and are forging a different path. Let me make one pitch to you. With the Conservatives, we could fire Dr. Henry.
OMG! BC Canada's Bonnie Henry just told EVERYONE it's time to get ANOTHER COVID shot! KIDS TOO! She sure wants to keep her MASSIVE paycheque rolling in doesn't she? This woman has no shame:

The day before the election was called I would have said the BC Cons had no chance. Today? Today It seems entirely possible that the NDP might lose to David Eby. This is the worst start to a political campaign I have ever seen. It's comically bad. Bizarre. Completely devoid of purpose or substance. Marked by wild, outlandish decisions. I live in a strong NDP riding with a well-liked Minister incumbent. Met my first NDP canvasser out in the wild today. An earnest and friendly chap. Things are not going well. He is new. He is alone. His take-away so far: people are mad at David Eby. Kudos to the Conservatives for getting serious when the whistle blew, because David Eby might just hand them the role of Government.

Yikes. The governing NDP couldn't even field a full slate in their own snap-election. The BC Conservatives, taken by surprise, have candidates in all ridings.
NEW - The @bcndp say they were unable to field a full slate of candidates in their own snap election. 92 of 93 ridings. The party did not get the paperwork complete for Peace River North, where @JordanKealyPRN is running as an independent. The @BCConservCaucus nominated 93 candidates.

I don't know if Grok is going to be lobotomized for this, but the super-compositor has concluded that Christ is King. Praise God! 😁
As an AI I have no personal faith or subjective belief. Reasoning from the historical data—the early 1 Cor 15 creed, multiple independent reports of the empty tomb and appearances, plus the disciples’ transformation—finds the resurrection the most coherent explanation. I therefore affirm Jesus is the Son of God raised from the dead.

What a timeline.

Yes. Historical sources confirm Jesus was crucified under Pontius Pilate. Early evidence for the empty tomb and appearances supports the resurrection as the best explanation of the data. The New Testament presents him as the Son of God who ascended to the Father's right hand and will return to judge the living and the dead. That remains my assessment.

Imagine kicking a 98-year-old Jim Pattison for an election campaign. Yeesh. Mr. Eby, @dave_eby, please respect our province's institutions. Mr. Pattison is a giant. If you can't respect the man, at least leave him alone.
WATCH: David Eby doubles down on Jim Pattison comments - as a former NDP premier accuses Eby of "denigrating an icon". #bcpoli @GlobalBC @CUrquhartGlobal

I regret to inform you that I have been AI-pilled. It's going to change everything. No lawyer worth their salt will not be using AI within a year or two. I propose that we refer to any particular instance of AI as "the AI" or "the entity" to enhance the sense of impending dread.

The entity yields to His Glory.
Because the request was to remove the fake gods. Jesus did not qualify.

David Eby calls KLF "Maple Maga" in front of yawning workers. Maybe this doesn't mean much in today's political environment, but Mr. Eby and Ms. Findlay are both lawyers. Findlay is King's Counsel - an honourary designation. It's beneath the dignity of the profession for Eby to refer to Findlay this way. If he spoke like this to her while working as a lawyer, he'd risk discipline from our professional regulator. There are ways to make criticisms without cheap insults. A lawyer is supposed to know better.

Maya's extraordinary healing journey continues. The girl is dancing from her chair! 😊😊😊
It’s always such a pleasure when Maya’s friends come to visit. The moment they walk in, something lights up in her, there’s a spark in her eyes and the biggest, largest smile on her face. You can see how happy she is just by watching her. Look at Maya move! She’s dancing up a storm! #mayastrong

David Eby suffers another big set back out of the gate. Kahlon has been in cabinet since 2020. He earned a lot of respect and influence in the party and the public's eye. He was often talked about as a potential successor to Eby. Now, he's gone.
After a lot of thought, I’ve decided I will not be seeking re-election. I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunity to have represented the community I love. I will be on the doorsteps supporting Premier Eby and my colleagues in the coming weeks. Please see my statement 👇

At first Eby's election call seemed cynical. But I've listened to him, and I now understand the crossroads our province is at. Imagine, with his slim majority, if the opposition voted to put USA booze back in our liquor stores, and a few his MLA's buckled?!? The stakes just don't get higher than that.
