Whenever I raise my voice about injustices in Ladakh the government media machinery gets activated to target me & our institute HIAL’s land lease.
Please take the message, don’t kill the messenger.
A quick look at this letter shows their own delays if not incompetence.
In all, 5 written appeals, 15 visits & 30 calls were made appealing for timely execution of land lease.
Please help me by sharing this with all media houses that covered the issue.

FORMER FINANCE MINISTER ON STATEHOOD FOR LADAKH
We were always told by home Ministry that Ladakh didn't have the resources to run a state or even a UT with legislature.
Met Yashwant Sinha ji today who was finance minister of india 3 times, last in Vajpey ji's government till 2002.
And before that an IAS officer in Bihar cadre...

INDIA IN A STATE OF UNDECLARED EMERGENCY...
Yesterday when I posted a message appealing for unity & peace in today's protest I had never imagined that the biggest democracy in the world would be under an undeclared EMERGENCY.
I was happy there were so many leaders to lead the movement, but I now learn that they have all been arrested. I hope those arrested will be released soon. I will be compelled to consider an Anshan Fast or Padyatra March if they are not released by tomorrow.

WHY I WON'T BE ABLE TO JOIN YOU ALL IN DELHI...!
Despite all efforts of the government to hinder & damage our work we continue to work for national security... making preparations as another winter comes.
This includes making artificial glaciers for water security & experiments for GLOF or glacial lake flood security... to difuse the 200+ ticking water bombs in high Himalayas.
Adapting Faiz Sahab's words I would say...
Aur Bhi Gham Hain Zamaane Main Siyaast Ke Siva...
Rahaten aur bhi hain wasl ki raahat ke siva.
Hence I send my bestest wishes to all & urge the leaders of different groups to stay united & show statesmanship, meanwhile I urge all the genZ friends to once again stay absolutely peaceful at all costs. This was the gift of Baapu that I tried to bring to Jantar Mantar in June,
I hope we won't let Baapu down.

A HEART TO HEART CHAT WITH THE NATION...
Not just a Press Release.
One year after my first morning in Jodhpur Central Jail where I was kept in total isolation for six months under the draconian NSA, I have more questions than I had before.
Unfortunately there was a media blackout on Ladakh 3 days ago when I voiced these questions from Leh as Ladakh observed Martyrs Day in memory for those who lost their lives last year on the same day. Here are some of those questions I asked from Delhi today.
I'm sure the NATION WANTS TO KNOW TOO...

HAPPY TO BE AMONG
People I love… Young People,

At St Stephen’s College Delhi
Some people have asked me if it’s appropriate to compare the September 24th brutal killings in Leh last year with Chinese repression in Tibet!
I don’t blame them for they don’t know what happened that day in Leh as there was a total internet blackout for weeks.
I understand the sufferings of Tibetan friends & have always opposed Chinese repression, but if you had seen what people in Leh went through on that unfortunate day, you might not disagree.
Although Ladakh has always been happy & prosperous in India, the last six years have been different & last year was the worst...
In a small town of 20,000 people four killed brutally, one suicide, 80 injured, 75 arrested with charges like attempt to murder. And it was all done without any firing orders in what's believed to be a stage managed violence.
While in Delhi the parliament came to a halt demanding Amit Shah's resignation for use of pallet guns and lathi charge at Jantar Mantar... Shouldn't he resign for this?
You can watch this clip of police brutality on people sitting on peaceful hunger strike. Rest I leave it to viewers to decide…

I see many of our Tibetan friends are disturbed by this comparison. First of all I was only comparing a specific incident on a particular day and of course not with decades of sufferings that Tibetan people have gone through. Secondly I have no intentions whatsoever to cause any hurt to anyone least my dear Tibetan friends... I only wanted to show the gravity of what Leh Ladakh went through on that particular day... and if that has hurt anyone, I deeply apologise from the core of my heart.
AMIT SHAH MUST RESIGN...
Today Ladakh commemorated the first anniversary of indiscriminate firing with AK 47 on unarmed youth that lead to the killing of 4+1, injury to 80+ & FIRs against 80+.
All without any firing order. Even after one year, the report of the Judicial Inquiry commission is suppressed & a paltry compensation of 15 lakh rupees for the dead & 3 lakhs for the severely injured has been announced. In this video I expose the root cause of the firing in Leh & also support Shri @RahulGandhi in his call #AmitShahMustResign for brutal firing with pallet guns at #JantarMantar.
Youth of Ladakh have always stood for the nation during all wars, it's time the nation stands for them.
Jai Hind
