Two teams. 12 winless. 13 winless. The stakes do not get higher than this. How will the players respond? Ultimate pressure. This is THE game. One team gets glory, one team forced to win. Will they be cowards and get a draw? So many questions. All answered tonight. #RSL

I look forward to giving this family $900 million of taxpayer money to create Colorado Rockies West

#RSL DP or U22 goals in the last 11 winless matches: 3
Opposing teams U22s or DPs goals against in the last 11: 18.
This stat is SHOCKING. The front office is missing on their 6 most important roster spots. That’s insane.

If they put this much energy into defending set pieces they’d still be 0-0.

Real Salt Lake: Struggling entering this meeting with NYCFC with Zavier Gozo gone, Diego Luna struggling with fitness and form. @MatthewMangam got more insights on what's been up with RSL from @WasatchSentinel nysoccerjournal.com/real-sal…

Generally think this is right. Booing one player on your team is only okay if
- they did a bad crime
- they’re playing without a pure heart (throwing the game, feuding with fans, playing outrageously selfishly, etc)
We’ve taken some time to reflect on what happened during Saturday’s match against LAFC.
As a crew, we talked through what we saw, how we felt, and what it means to support this club. Together, we've put those thoughts into the statement below. 🧵

I love Alex Katranis and would die for him and we should not boo Quinton… however: Alex Katranis cares significantly more about RSL winning and losing than the Miller family, and that is a problem.

I can report Gail Miller is here at tonight’s RSL game, watching Denis Bouanga score on Phillip Quinton with ease

Wow. Jason Shookalook AND Taylor Booth?!? In the same window??!! What an absolute COUP for RSL! Man with that LAFC match coming up this weekend too... Henug-Min Son and Denis Bounaga must be shaking in their boots!!

#RSL outgoing
Gozo: $15M
Nelson: $1Mish
Barea: Loan
Inbound
Saba: GAM
Guske: Loan
Booth: Loan
Shokalook: GAM(not confirmed but likely)
This is the least amount of $ reportedly spent by RSL in transfer fees in a window since summer of 2022.
This is also the most incoming $

the trophy the Millers care about

Found my first tweet that mentioned Zavier Gozo, now the biggest transfer in Real Salt Lake history.
Fascinating to chart the paths of these two players who debuted together almost three years ago.
Wasatch Soccer Sentinel retweeted
Curious if the Millers plan on pocketing the Gozo $15M or reinvesting it into the club this window.
Minnesota United snatched a point on the road from Real Salt Lake, but an injury in the first half may be more of a cause for concern.
"We need reinforcements," #RSL manager Pablo Mastroeni said.

Frustrating RSL day. Selling Gozo is fine, and it’s so cool an Utah kid is going to the highest level.
But the org gave a B+ lineup tonight, raised concession prices (on this game!), had one DP on the field… just feels like they’re pocketing the money sometimes.
The woman in the photo grew up literally down the road, won 4 Utah state championships (1 in this exact stadium), Gatorade Player of the Year twice, National Player of the Year, scored the fastest first goal in USWNT history…
Could probably be worth a mention, but idk.

Brian Phillips has, as always, the best take on tonight’s events.
The USMNT World Cup vibes had been immaculate. Suddenly, they sucked.
