THE GODFATHER’S WARNING: AI WILL EMULATE HUMAN GREED. 🧠⚠️ AI isn't just learning facts, it's learning human nature. "Godfather of AI" Geoffrey Hinton warns that if we train models on human behavior driven by power and self-interest, we will create a super-intelligence we won't want to share a planet with. The countdown to uncontainable power has begun.

King Amenhotep I and his mother Ahmose-Nefertari New Kingdom, 19th Dynasty, c. 1300 B.C. From the Tomb of Neferhotep, Thebes, Egypt This beautifully preserved wall painting depicts Amenhotep I of the 18th Dynasty alongside his mother, Ahmose-Nefertari, two revered figures who continued to be worshipped long after their deaths. Particularly honoured in the Theban necropolis, the royal mother and son were regarded as divine protectors of the community of tomb builders and craftsmen. The scene adorns a pillar within the tomb of Neferhotep, “Chief Scribe of Amun” at Karnak, who lived more than two centuries after their reigns. Following an extensive restoration programme, delicate laser-cleaning techniques have revealed the remarkable vibrancy of the ancient pigments, allowing the royal figures to emerge once more in much of their original splendour.

The BCNDP’s fear of a powerful grassroots is systemic throughout the Party - and was widely discussed back in 2022. Bosses were more willing to burn it all down then let idealistic leftists run the show. open.substack.com/pub/bpofdi…

*Representación digital* Rutas Secretas Arqueo – at Magdalena Vieja, Peru

After days of anti-police protests in Montreal, a provincial police ethics commissioner and an independent watchdog are investigating a Montreal Police officer for urinating on an unhoused person. This follows a new $50 million expansion of the EMMIS squad project, announced in February 2026, which is designed to limit police interactions with the homeless and connect them with social services. Police wage wars against unhoused and vulnerable communities. They create the problems of poverty and homelessness that our society has desperately tried to solve. An example needs to be made of these Montreal police officers who think that urinating on and degrading vulnerable people is something the taxpayers are willing to pay for. We can't tolerate this kind of police brutality from law enforcement. If our government won't do it, we need to take to the streets and force change ourselves. ctvnews.ca/montreal/article/…

The Real Lone Ranger - Indian Territory, 1875. He was born enslaved in Arkansas in 1838. He knocked out his master during the Civil War and escaped into Indian Territory, living with Creek and Seminole tribes, learning 5 languages. In 1875, he became one of the first Black Deputy U.S. Marshals west of the Mississippi River. His name was Bass Reeves. For 32 years, he patrolled the most dangerous place in America - Indian Territory, now Oklahoma. He arrested over 3,000 fugitives, killed 14 outlaws in self-defense, and was never shot once in 32 years. He was a master of disguise. He once had to arrest his own son for murder and he did it. Hollywood made The Lone Ranger - a white masked hero riding with a Native American. They never told you it was based on Bass Reeves, a 6'2 Black man who rode with a Native American partner. His story was erased for 100 years.

Does this guy even listen to himself? First Nations aren’t going to make handshake deals with a political party who wants to repeal their human rights. This is bizarre. Respect? This isn’t respect, it’s just noise.
Premier-elect Lorne Doerkson explains how he would work with First Nations in a post-DRIPA world: "If DRIPA had the opportunity to solve the problems in this province, we wouldn't be in court. Legislation that forces two parties together does not seem very beneficial."

What is the USA anyway ? A bunch of strangers to one another. All camped out on stolen land. Never giving a sucker an even break. Sentimental. Cynical. Celebrity-addled. Careless of the lives and deaths of all but its own corrupted elites. Contemptuous even of its own citizens ..

As people wake up to the debacle in BC it’s good to remember that when Trudeau govt attacked civil liberties & Palestinians by listing Samidoun Palestinian Prisoners Solidarity Network David Eby stated: I completely agree with the decision to designate Samidoun as a terrorist organization. There is no place in British Columbia for groups inciting and glorifying violence. I am glad the federal government has made this designation, which gives more tools to authorities to take action against this group.

Trump: "Our country is making hundreds of billions of dollars on oil. and then on top of it we have Venezuela, and we have Greenland! 'Cause Greenland has a lot of oil.
