Very crowded field, but if you gathered every village idiot into one room, heβd still be crowned champion, not just thick as fck, but dangerously so.The kind of that shouldnt be allowed near sharp objects or actual decisions

Droughts in winterβ¦β¦how crazy does the climate have to get! The biggest thing we can all do about it? Stop eating meat and dairy. It takes 1,000 litres of drinking water to make just 1 litre of cow milk. Or 50 litres of water to make 1 litre of oat milk. While a quarter pound beef burger uses nearly 2,000 litres of water - two tonnes of water for just over 100 grams of beef burger. A plant based burger of the same size uses 90% less water, around 200 grams for the same sized 100 gram burgerβ¦

Good news for London:
β¬οΈ Theft from the person (including phone theft) has fallen by 24% over the past year.
β¬οΈ Robbery across London has also fallen by 4%, bucking the national trend, with robberies of personal property down by 12%. Across England and Wales, robbery rose by 10%.
This is encouraging progress, and shows why our record City Hall investment in the Met Police matters.
They are largely at it again π

Abortion is health care.
And those health care decisions should be made by a woman and her doctor β not by the federal government, and certainly not by Donald Trump.
So long as Iβm Governor, abortion will remain safe, legal, and accessible here in Pennsylvania. And I will always protect a womanβs fundamental freedom to make her own decisions about her body.

@WatchRatio Our New Dawn has broken some kind of ratio record, has she not?
ππ The replies
Owen Jones has, for the last three years, revealed himself to be a man of enormous courage, integrity and truthfulness. No one should think for a minute that his relentless defence of Palestinian rights and historical truth is easy or comes without heavy personal costs. Throughout the genocide in Gaza, Jones remained a tireless bur rigorous and supremely decent voice. I suspect part of what initially moved him was the strong displeasure in being treated like an idiot by the official propaganda β a noble motive in itself β but there is no question he has been genuinely touched by the images of suffering arriving daily from Gaza. And yet, how does his intellectual fixation on a battle between left and right help us understand the horrors of Gaza, or move us to stop them? My impression is that the opposite has happened. People look at what is happening in Gaza and ask themselves what a person on the right or on the left should think. In many cases this is ideology. In most, simply careerism and group association. Jones shows how limited the perspective really is. How about, like the author himself, asking how a human being should feel? How about returning to the world of facts and feelings rather than our endless Marvel franchise? newstatesman.com/culture/booβ¦

You are a snake eating your own tail π
We are going after the criminal bosses behind organised crime and stripping them of the funds they use to fuel drug trafficking, people smuggling and other serious crime.
By putting 500 more officers on the trail of dirty money and targeting the profits of Britain's biggest gangs, we will break their grip on our communities, protect vulnerable people from exploitation and ensure crime does not pay.

Pregnancy tests draw a misleading, somewhat arbitrary, binary between a state of being pregnant and not being pregnant. You can be kind of pregnant, a little bit pregnant, or almost pregnant, or maybe pregnant, and still test positive for pregnancy. Pregnancy tests, particularly at-home urine tests, capture a moment in time at which an embryo has implanted and is interfacing with the uterus in some way. βWe define how we understand the beginning of pregnancy based on this snapshot, but such a freeze-frame contains limited information,β Apoorva Tadepalli writes. The negative balance on my X post about donating to the RNLI really does demonstrate what a cesspit this platform can be.
If anyone thinks this platform is a true reflection on how the majority of the British public think and feel - think again.
