I also sincerely hope the CAF is submitting nominations for medals for those who put their lives on the line in heroic feats to rescue others caught in the fire at Wainwright.
Let’s get this one right and make sure we honour our young troops who stepped up and went above and beyond in life threatening circumstances and conditions.
Thank You to the Health Care professionals in Alberta along with the volunteers & specialists from across Canada who flew in to help take care of our injured troops.
Our injured soldiers are receiving the very best care.
Spent time at Calgary’s Foothills hospital with many of the doctors, nurses and health care workers who are with them around the clock. Their dedication is incredible!

York Police Sgt Charged With Seven Offences, Including Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking
A York Regional Police sergeant has been charged with seven offences following an investigation involving Peel Regional Police and York Regional Police.
Sgt. Kin Pong Wong, 44, was arrested on October 23, 2026, in connection with the investigation.
Wong faces the following charges:
-Breach of trust
-Unauthorized use of a computer
-Possession of property obtained by crime
-Possession for the purpose of trafficking
-Attempt to obstruct justice
-Possession of a counterfeit stamp
-Breach of trust – accessing data
Wong has been employed by York Regional Police since 2009. Most recently, he worked as a frontline patrol sergeant.
The force confirmed that Wong has been suspended with pay.
