Grateful to OPB journalist, @meerahpowell, who chose to highlight our Free Tuition Initiative and why we are doing this. She also asked other higher ed folks if they're gonna also do this - they said nope. Too bad. Should be more of this happening. bit.ly/3sU2h2p
Non-breaking news...@WayfindingAcad doesn't ask students for test scores or GPAs in our admissions process. Never have. Never will. Abolish standardized testing. #collegeadmissions #testoptional

We did it! Today marks the final day of our Fall 2020 term...we held the entire term in person for our students with strict COVID-19 safety procedures in place and successfully kept everyone safe! Go us!
Here are some photos to show glimpses into what the past term has been like

Check out our new youtube video! It's an interview with Wayfinding parent Deanna (with a cameo from Wayfinding student Julie!) about her family's experience with the education system, how they discovered Wayfinding and how things are going.

We just wrote a letter to our community (that's you) about the immediate actions we're taking to disrupt systemic racism and dismantle white supremacy as an organization and educational institution. You can read it here: wayfindingacademy.org/antira…
We are intentionally pausing communications to take time to listen to our community and set measurable goals to address anti-Blackness organizationally, effectively and meaningfully support our BIPOC students, and decolonize the educational experience we are offering. (1/2)
Here are some local organizations doing critical anti-racist work that deserve attention and financial support right now: @dontshootpdx @BlackPDX @naacppdx @BlackUnitedFdOR @KairosPDX and The Black Resilience Fund at: gofundme.com/f/the-black-res…
As a community of people who care about each other and care about our impact on the world, we must use our platform to speak out against racist violence and ongoing police brutality against Black people. Black lives matter. (1/6)
Systemic racism affects every facet of our lives and the work doesn't stop when names fade from the headlines. As Wayfinding Academy states in its creed, what you do with your life matters to more than just you. (4/6)
If you are looking for concrete actions to take, please consider donating to: @BlackVisionsMN @reclaimtheblock @dontshootpdx @BlackUnitedFdOR @pdxnaacp Please tag more organizations if you wish!) (5/6)
