I don’t think I’ve ever seen a manager do a worse job managing a game than Dave Roberts tonight.
Will Smith just hit a double off the wall. It’s 2-1. Brewers had to pull Urías no matter what. Why announce De Paula?
Then you waste your best pinch hitter off the bench just to put in the biggest swing-and-miss guy you have. Any ball to the outfield makes it 3-1.
Blake Snell hasn’t gone 7 innings all year. The minute he got into trouble, you should’ve gone to the bullpen. It’s a must-win game with a fully rested bullpen.
The minute he walked a guy, you should’ve pulled him. And if your excuse is that two lefties were coming up, then Scott should’ve already been warming up to prepare for that situation.
Roberts could not have managed that inning any worse. The Dodgers are getting outplayed, but Roberts is making it even harder on them.

Arte Moreno will go down as one of the worst owners in the history of professional sports. No other owner has been this bad:
• Tyler Skaggs: An Angels employee, supplied drugs to Skaggs and other players, ultimately contributing to Skaggs’ death. The Angels fought the wrongful-death lawsuit for years before settling during jury deliberations, after jurors had found the team negligent.
• Sticky stuff: Angels clubhouse employee was providing pitchers with a sticky substance.
• Angel Stadium deal: The FBI investigation into Anaheim’s mayor exposed that he had secretly provided Angels representatives with confidential negotiating information and expected a $1 million campaign contribution connected to the stadium deal.
• Players’ basic needs: Failed to provide major-league players with basic resources they needed, from Pujols’ treadmill to reportedly not fixing the AC for Kikuchi so he could work out properly before starts.
• Minor-league housing: Angels minor leaguers faced awful housing conditions, with reports of overcrowding, multiple players sharing rooms and players even sleeping on training tables.
• Trout + Ohtani: He had Mike Trout and Shohei Ohtani at the same time and still couldn’t build a contender around them an unprecedented opportunity wasted, while the team repeatedly stayed below the luxury-tax threshold instead of going all-in.
• Stadium conditions: Angel Stadium has faced years of maintenance and sanitation problems, including a 2026 rodent infestation that temporarily shut down a concession area.
• Behind on technology: The Angels were reportedly 10–15 years behind other organizations in player-development technology and analytics until they began making major investments more recently.
• Wouldn’t trade Ohtani: Moreno admitted he knew they weren’t resigning Ohtani but refused to trade him.
• “FANS DON’T CARE ABOUT WINNING”
The MLB could have stepped in for many of these instances the fact that he stayed around this long is shameful..
