Looking into 2019 we’re ensuring we have partners registering people to vote at every abilities expo from here on out. In addition reaching out to community partners especially at colleges and universities ;). It’s all in preparation for 2020 which will come before we know it!

John Lewis was a superb man who led a life of courage and commitment and rose from humble beginnings to become an American icon and champion of civil rights. His legacy lives on, calling our nation to higher heights. I miss my friend and brother in the struggle dearly.

57 years ago, the #CivilRightsAct banned discrimination based on race, religion, sex, or national origin. From the #SNCC to the BPP to Congress, I've been in the fight for #civilrights my entire life. Our work isn't done until equal justice is a reality for all Americans.

As always, it's important to remember that #FreeBritney is a disability rights issue. If the state can do this to one of the most influential pop stars in my lifetime, think about what it can do to others. Read @slooterman thenation.com/article/societ…

4 in 10 Americans are exposed to unhealthy levels of air pollution & people of color are 61% more likely than white ppl to live in a county with a failing grade for air pollution. The #StateOfTheAir report is an urgent reminder that clean air is an environmental & justice issue.
