What if owning an NFT meant more than holding a picture? What if you actually had a seat in a fund and a say in how it actually operates? That’s the idea behind @themutualfun by @Kingpickle The Mutual Fun is building an onchain fund experiment around five funds: BAGEL, LADDR, HAGGL, GRAVY and DARTS Each fund has its own personality, but they all start with the same rules guiding execution What makes them different is how their members vote and shape their investment strategies over time Every week, holders can vote on asset allocation, how much of eligible gains should be distributed as dividends, and how much of the fee flow should be burned The votes help determine what happens when Fiscal Friday rolls around Now, here’s where the NFT comes in; The ecosystem is designed around 4,001 NFT Seats spread across the five funds Each Seat comes with a fund assignment, a vote, and a Briefcase; an onchain account that holds unclaimed dividend checks and travels with the NFT when it’s sold But getting a Seat isn't the same as activating it, Holders must enroll in a share class to become eligible for voting and distributions For the mint, 2,000 TMF Passes are available, these passes are soulbound, meaning they cannot be transferred or traded Each pass holder can mint two Seats at 0.01 ETH per Seat, bringing the cost to 0.02 ETH for both The bigger picture is really interesting when you look deeper into it; NFTs, collective decision making, fund management and onchain mechanics coming together in one ecosystem It’s an interesting experiment in making NFT ownership functional rather than purely collectible Now I want to see how the community shapes these five funds in practice Do you already have a seat?
