Alongside many high-priority problems to solve, Web3 must create a safe space for peer to peer journalism. Almost every media is owned by billionaires. How much neutral, credible and critical reporting is happening? 10%? Democracy can't live without open discussion, journalism.

I have mixed feelings about NFTs/Metaverse. The digital identity + auth + ownership + access control + interoperability will be a fundamental block of Web3. The art? No. Went to Kunsthistorishes Art Museum in Vienna this weekend and... NFTs are no match for physical art.

Ethereum's Mining Algorithm - Ethash! A decentralized blockchain database needs a consensus component to define who can create the next valid block and under what requirements. Bitcoin and Ethereum use Proof of Work mining consensus. HOWEVER, the algorithm differs in design🧵

I would highly advise against storing encrypted files on IPFS which is more of a communication/distribution protocol than a storage. Why storing private content on public network? IMHO, a disaster waiting to happen if the encryption keys leak.

In the complex world (system with interdependencies), the notion of "cause" itself is suspect. Blockchain, Defi, tokens have so many dependencies that cascading effects are unforseenable - like in traditional economics.
