What if the real story isn’t the app, but the infrastructure behind it?
That’s what makes the P2P ecosystem worth a closer look.
From local payments to apps built around real use cases, there’s more happening here than meets the eye.
I explored what’s behind it. Take a look for yourself.

nowadays I am diving deep into @datafdn × @SuiNetwork partnership and exploring how everything is coming together
so i wrote an article covering all the important things
#DATAonSuiQuest
if i had to say tl;dr of the whole DATA story
DATA has shifted its focus from broad IP tokenization to ai training data
- trace tracks data origins and licensing rights
- DATA is moving from its own blockchain to Sui
- the move comes with a $30M investment from sui foundation
- walrus and seal add storage and access control capabilities
- $DATA tokens are set to migrate to sui at a 1:1 ratio
overall their vision is to make ai training data more transparent verifiable and trustworthy
@datafdn
From finding our focus in AI data to the thinking behind joining the Sui stack
CEO @devrelius went deeper on DATA's next chapter with @helenebraunn for @CoinDesk ↓

this article by @devrelius ( andrea ) explains why the DATA Foundation decided to move towards the Sui ecosystem and what actually matters behind this decision
here are the key points i found interesting
> since launching in june trace has recorded close to 300M data contributions and processes over 3M receipts daily
> running a separate blockchain comes with costs maintaining validators rpc infrastructure security and other blockchain components takes significant engineering effort and money
DATA wants to focus more on building its actual products instead
> why sui walrus and seal ?
because sui provides high performance execution walrus handles large scale data storage and seal enables secure access control together these tools can help support trace as its activity grows
DATA wants companies to verify license and put their data to use while making its origin and usage rights easier to track
the thing matters now is whether this infrastructure helps trace scale while making ai training data easier to verify and license

these are the few things you should know after the DATA foundation x sui network partnership
the DATA foundation has announced its move to sui and there are a few important things existing $DATA holders should know
here's what the announcement confirmed :-
> $DATA carries over 1:1 :- existing $DATA tokens will carry over one-to-one to the DATA protocol on sui
> holder economics remain intact :- governance rights and tokenomics will remain at least equivalent to the current setup. locked tokens and vesting positions will carry over unchanged
> DATA is moving to Sui :- the DATA network has planned an upgrade to run natively on Sui, with its existing independent chain eventually being retired
the announcement confirmed that the existing DATA network will continue operating until the upgrade is complete
a detailed timeline and transition plan will be shared ahead of the migration
this is important because the announcement explains how existing holders and their tokens will be handled during the transition
now the key thing to watch is how the migration unfolds and what improvements the DATA ecosystem actually brings once the upgrade is complete

ai dont only need raw data but it also needs data that can actually be trusted
that is the idea this video from @datafdn is trying to show
imagine someone contributes a voice recording here is what needs to happen next :-
- the source of the recording should be traceable
- access should be controlled instead of leaving the file open to everyone
- the original data should remain securely stored
- processing should happen in a protected environment
- contributors should have a way to benefit when their data is used
this is where tools like trace, seal, walrus and nautilus come into the picture each handling a different part of the process
the bigger idea is giving ai companies a way to work with data while making its origin access and usage easier to track
of course the tech alone can not guarantee
- data quality
- valid permissions
- or payments
those depend on how the system is implemented and adopted
but if this approach works at scale contributing data to ai could become a more transparent process for everyone involved

the DATA Foundation has finally joined sui network and here is why this matters for the ai industry
as we know ai models need good quality data to become better but collecting data is only one part of the problem
there are a few things that matter here :-
- where the data comes from
- whether contributors gave permission for it to be used
- whether the usage rights can be verified
- how the original data is stored and protected
this is where the @datafdn + @SuiNetwork + @WalrusProtocol integration gets interesting
- trace ( on data ecosystem ) helps record data provenance and rights
- walrus provides the decentralized storage layer
- sui provides the blockchain infrastructure for handling data and licensing
trace already has 250M+ receipts recorded giving this ecosystem a strong starting point
if they can make this work at scale ai labs could have an easier way to source rights cleared training data while contributors get better ways to track and prove their contributions
DATA is coming to @SuiNetwork.
The DATA Network and Trace are joining the Sui stack, bringing a live supply of rights-cleared AI training data to infrastructure built for AI workloads.
With 250M+ receipts already recorded by Trace, AI labs will be able to source real-world data with verifiable provenance, while @WalrusProtocol provides the underlying storage layer.
Sui Foundation is investing $30 million in the DATA Network, establishing the largest institutional stake in the network, alongside the continuing holdings of PIP Labs and the DATA Foundation. Furthering the alignment, SY Lee, founder of the DATA Network and CEO of PIP Labs, joins Sui Foundation as Strategic Advisor.
In the coming months:
▸ The DATA Network will be upgraded to run as a protocol natively on Sui
▸ Walrus becomes the default storage layer for DATA Foundation apps
▸ $DATA remains the token of the DATA protocol
The next chapter of DATA starts here.

primus labs is bringing privacy and trust to the next generation of crypto and ai agents.
built using zkTLS + FHE, with backing from binance labs, samsung next, vaneck and other major investors.
how to get started:
> join here: s.kaito.ai/IUEqZpj
> link your wallet
> activate the extension
> install the chrome extension
> finish tasks to improve your reputation score
@primus_labs is now competing for attention on kaito:
> 0.3% of the total supply reserved for the top 450 yappers
> epoch 1 has wrapped up, and epoch 2 is officially underway
there's still time to get involved.

hey @KaitoAI and the whole team
what proof do you need now?
there are small, mid sized, and even large accounts participating in engagement farming groups and it is becoming harder to ignore
you are slowly losing the trust of genuine participants and the community
i feel like kaito is sidelining its main mission of making infofi great by rewarding genuine contributors who bring real value to the ecosystem
the community has always supported you but it is time to take serious action against these e4e groups
please investigate these groups and permanently ban accounts that are manipulating the engagement
these people are farming rewards while genuine creators are getting sidelined
they contribute little to no actual value to the projects or the ecosystem yet they keep appearing on leaderboards
you can clearly see the recurring patterns of the same creators showing up on the leaderboard while people putting genuine effort into quality content struggle to get recognized
if this continues it could seriously damage the reputation of kaito and contribute to the downfall of infofi
new infofi projects like @rarelistio are trying to address these loopholes and i hope kaito does not keep repeating the same mistakes
you have a golden opportunity to listen to the community and take a strong stand against engagement farming, ai slop, and low value content
i think quality should matter more than quantity
some creators are simply using ai to generate and repost content daily without adding any original insights
my humble suggestion is to explore ai detection tools and other detection systems that could help flag low effort repetitive or potentially manipulated content for further review
ai itself not a problem but some people are using it to just produce mass low value content and farm the leaderboard
the goal should be simple that reward originality genuine engagement and meaningful contributions
i hope the team listens to the community and takes concrete steps to protect the people who are actually helping to build and grow infofi

Ever wondered what happens behind the scenes when someone pays with UPI..
but the app needs to receive USDC?
That’s the problem P2PKit is built to solve.
A customer pays using a familiar local payment method. A vetted local partner handles the payment, and the app receives USDC on Base.
No crypto wallet needed for the customer. No local payment handling for the app.
And this isn’t just theory. Multiple apps are already building on the same payment infrastructure.
One rail, powering different products.
