I came across 𝗭𝗹𝗼𝗿𝗸𝘀 recently and the first thing that caught my attention wasn’t the NFTs, it was the idea behind it. Most NFT projects give you JPEG and call it a community… But @ZlorksAdventure is taking a different route, building something people stay connected to. The NFT is tied directly to a comic, and holders are meant to have a say in what happens inside that comic. 𝐙𝐥𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐬 is a web3 comic set on Tavanora, a planet divided by different species and old conflicts. The story follows three friends from different backgrounds who somehow end up becoming a crew. And things got a lot bigger from there… 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐲 𝐭𝐨𝐮𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐬 𝐨𝐧 𝐬𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐲 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐬: ~> xenophobia ~> genetic engineering ~> self-acceptance ~> politics So, this isn’t just “here are some characters, buy the NFT” There’s an actual world being built around them. 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐦𝐚𝐢𝐧 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐚𝐫𝐞 : • LULU — an ambitious space explorer • NUVARI — an aerospace engineer and inventor • YOMO — a rescued Fuyomo Each of them has their own personality and place in the story. But here’s the part I find most interesting… Zlorks has a holder-to-comic mechanic. The idea is that dedicated holders can eventually become characters inside the comic and have an influence on the story. That’s a much more interesting use of an NFT than simply having a PFP sitting in your wallet. On the art side, Zlorks says the traits are hand-drawn. The project currently has 3 main characters, 200+ unique traits and 30 1/1 pieces. Each one of them is the key to the Zlorks storyline. Zlorks is trying to make the holder part of the universe. And that’s worth keeping an eye on.
