Why Brazil’s Stock Market Just Collapsed 20% Overnight? What's Ahead? | Tourism Stocks | Alok Jain

Lulas win is a global red flag where masses are now rooting for left centered politics... The Brazilian mkt which was awaiting reforms and fiscal prudence has crashed.
Can this happen in India as well?
BREAKING: 🇧🇷 The iShares MSCI Brazil ETF $EWZ, which tracks major Brazilian stocks, crashes -19% overnight as markets react to Lula's victory over Bolsonaro.
Probability of Fed hike has diminished quite a bit in the last few weeks. If Fed does not hike tomorrow night, perhaps there will be some relief rally
Smallcaps are heavily oversold ( the most in 4 years) and some support could kick in here. That may give temp relief but medium term charts have been damaged.
Best way to deal with the situation is to not panic and throw away your investment. Go back and check your thesis / model and play accordingly.
There will be better days too.

Watch it now.
while we lament our markets, spare a thought for the chinese investor

Most of emerging Asia’s catch-up came from Taiwan (+404%) and Korea (+287%) in dollar terms.
India’s +115% still left China (+2%) far behind. The rupee’s 21% fall against the dollar also trimmed India’s dollar return.
SInce coving India (blue) was outperforming the Emerging markets index by a wide margin
In the last 2 years EEMA has caught up while we consolidated.
No trends will remain forever.
Met a senior consultant (read top 3) on my walk today.
He said the industry is lost as to what may happen in a few years.
Few things he said are happening
1. Million dollar contract clients are now questioning the contract fees suggesting that a job that was being done in a month earlier is now worth a few days only
2. Many are suggesting projects moving from billable hours to a small fixed fee plus a variable success fee ( basis the consultation) be acceptable
3. Some smaller clients are training inhouse teams on AI etc to do it themselves.
He mentioned that erstwhile consultancy lived on information arbitrage where customers had no access to knowledge bases etc.... but now that is gone.
