Wellow Golf Club

The relaying of the patio is almost complete, a couple of days left to go. An excellent job by Jamie and team. This will be so much more aesthetically pleasing and level! Another superb investment by our Directors and one that our members and guests will enjoy for many years.

It’s been a busy few weeks for the team. Big thanks to @JaseBuckmaster for all his work on B6 green. A problem green now with full drainage for the years to come. Just the turf to put back next week 💪🏻😁👍🏻

First frost of the year! Hard one too. 🥶

And as an added bonus, we’ve installed two drains, through the wet areas by the bell and across the fairway, to the inspection chamber on B7. Got that one ticked off today. Really pleased, thanks @JaseBuckmaster for your mastery and efforts! Cracking job 😁💪🏻

It’s a nice clean job, very pleased 😁🏌🏾🏌🏼‍♀️

We’ve had a fun week with @JaseBuckmaster! The drainage works to B5 have been completed. Happy to report that after last nights 15mm of rain there was no standing water here and the area was nice and dry and the drains flowing brilliantly! 💪🏻☔️ 💦

Raking a heavy, washed out bunker after a storm is hellish, backbreaking work. But with our new Bunker Bike man hours will be saved and chiropractor bills halved, at the same time keeping bunkers in play for longer and weed free. #bunkerbike #newtoy

Happy Club Championship day! The team have worked tirelessly to get the courses in the condition they are today. Proud of everyone. Play well and enjoy! ⛳️☀️

The courses are starting to come alive now! Amazing how much better everything feels in the sunshine. All bunkers have been edged and weeded. The greens are starting to hit their stride. Lots of weed spraying has been done. Long may the sun continue! 🙌🏻🤩

With the continued wet weather, we have got @JaseBuckmaster back to install a few more drains. We’ll keep making improvements for our golfers! 🏌🏾 👌🏻

Felt good to get some stripes out on the course! Also managed to get the greens hand mown and ironed. A long way to go before we hit our stride but doing as much as we can! 🤌🏻😁⛳️

Out with the old and in with the new! A beautiful @ToroGolf Workman to take our sprayer and top dresser, replacing our well used one. This will help us massively moving forward! Big thank you to our directors!! 🔥🔴🤩

Last evening saw 87 members and guests enjoy the first in a series of Around the World Nights here at @WellowGolfClub. Next Up is SHANGHAI NIGHTS - over 90 tickets already sold so get in touch to not miss out. 01794 322872 #wellowclubhouse #aroundtheworld #fucntion

A great read for golfers 👍🏻☔️

We’ve had a cracking 3/4 weeks of hard work. The trees on A4 ditch have been tided and now give a fairer shot from the fairway. B1 tee sleeper wall is 99% finished, we’ll look to turf it next week. Bunker edging/tidying ongoing! Still a couple of things to do before March! 🤩👍🏻

Thanks to James and his team at @AwbridgeArborists for some more much needed tree work on the course. The three Oaks at the back of C9 Blocked Light and reduced air flow to the green.... so x1 Tree Removed x2 Larger oaks Pollarded Thanks Lads! Great Work in those conditions

The team worked hard to take advantage of the frosts to complete the tree works on A3. 4 trees + various limbs gone, giving a better landing zone. We also reinstated the original open ditch by the tee + removed all the scrub. Hopefully it will help stop the path flooding.
