POV: Behind the scenes A glimpse of rehearsals as our choristers joined their friends from Westminster Abbey for a special Edwardtide Evensong honouring St Edward the Confessor. Two magnificent choirs. Two traditions. One extraordinary occasion.

"You are a wonderful reminder to everyone of the importance of the sacrifice of the Mass in our lives and in the life of the whole world." +Moth Last Saturday the National Mass was held at Westminster Cathedral where we welcomed over 500 servers from across 15 of dioceses of England and Wales, a post-pandemic record. The archbishop preached on the martyrdom of our patron St Stephen, how the word martyr means ‘witness’ and how all who serve at the altar are visible ‘witnesses’ to faith and the importance of the server in the liturgy. You can read his full homily, find all the photos and the Order of Service at the link below. Our thanks to all who helped arrange this special day in advance and on the day. Our thanks also to the Choir of Gunnersbury Catholic School and the Westminster Diocese Comms team for the photos. If you have any photos let us know by tagging us in your social post or email to [email protected]. guildofststephen.org/news/na… #catholic #altarservers #altarserver #mass #catholicism @westminstercath @rcwestminster

@WestminsterCath as you’ve never seen it. Luminiscence brings its walls and arches alive — offering a remarkable glimpse of what this great cathedral might one day become. 🔗 Read Antonia Moffat's reflection ⬇️

The Assisted Suicide Bill has been defeated - thanks be to God 🙏 Archbishop John Wilson said: “I am grateful to everyone who made their voices heard in defence of life, especially by writing to their MPs and sharing their messages of hope. By the grace of God, MPs have listened and voted against assisted suicide. Together, we have shown that we will not stand by while the sacredness of life is under threat. “As the many thousands at the March for Life demonstrated, we are a people of life and a people of joy. We must continue to be witnesses for Christ by courageously and joyfully making the case for life - from conception until natural death”
