Grade 3’s started EQAO today - it’s been a rough couple of years, so I had them walk into some inspiration and encouragement to keep on their desk for the week! You got this boys and girls! @WestwindPS @OCDSB
Buses 13 (v76) and 8 (v61) are cancelled this evening. Please pick up your child at the front of the building at 3:45. Sleepovers are not encouraged 😄
As many may already be aware, the power is out in our community. If you are picking up your child the process to locate them will take longer. Thank you for your patience!
If you are picking up your child today, please call the office when you arrive - the buzzer is not working.

For Bear Witness day, EF3B brought their stuffies to class and learned about Jordan’s Principle and how Spirit Bear, the Children and @cblackst made history. Indigenous children deserve equal access to all services. We took “stuffy class photo”! @OCDSB @CaringSociety @WestwindPS
Tomorrow, April 13th, is the International #dayofpink Our Westwind community is encouraged to wear pink to stand with our #2SLGBTQ+ members against homophobia, biphobia, and transphobia. On this date we are reminded of the power of allyship and speaking out against bullying.

Families planning to use the school bus next year, reminder to complete the request for transportation by April 3rd (link below). You will need your child’s OEN (found on previous report cards) unless child is new or in kindergarten. Contact @OttSchoolBus if you have questions.
🤔 Did you know that your decision affects student transportation planning? 🚍 To make better use of available transportation services, we now require students to confirm their transportation plans for the 2022-2023 school year. ✔️❌ bit.ly/3HChhYP

All transportation services cancelled, today Jan 18, 2022. Due to the tremendous amount of snowfall yesterday, many residential roads and minor collectors have not yet been plowed. Schools are open, however. If you drop off your child, please pick them up at the end of the day
