AB referendum results & observations that give me pause:
1) Only ~64% of registered voters voted on Question 10. Very low for a referendum vote.
2) Five years ago 62.7% of Albertans wanted Equalization abolished but today only 25% want change in Alberta?
3) We had 304,000 ballots from people who signed a petition for independence referendum in the middle of winter and today only 500,000 wanted a change to the status quo?
4) Reports that in many locations only one scrutineer was seen when we were told there wasn't enough room for any scrutineers from the TPAs who supported Option 2.
5) Reports from election AB workers that ballots were packed up and shipped to Edmonton before ballot counts were completed.
6) mail-in ballots increase by 468,000 (51,000 -->519,000), or NINE times more than the last election. Furthermore 461,000 mail-in (91%) votes went for Option 2!
7) Spending on Option 2 side was tightly regulated while spending on Option 1 side was almost non-existent with evidence of large expenditures.
8) Overall, the AB referendum process violated any consensus of a fair and verifiable vote based on internationally recognized protocols
Unless you're a patsy you have to conclude the Referendum results are invalid.
