RE: Lost @ThePlagueNFT frogs to the recent hack
If your frog went to the hackers wallet and not the @0xQuit saved NFTs wallet, let me know.
I am assessing the losses to see how we can help.

I absolutely hate being bearish.
It’s not my nature.
In fact, 70% of my holdings are in BTC, crypto, stocks, etc.
I just don’t see how we don’t have some black swan type event (semi-short term duration) when you have
> diesel approaching $7
> sea freight more than double pre-war rates and climbing
> fuel shortages
> idiot world leaders all threatening each other with escalation
I hope I am wrong. And as I said above, I am positioned to be wrong.
I just don’t see how it’s sustainable

This post got some action today.
I posted it 2 years ago today.
I think it someone reposted it.... then I saw it evoked some feelings from holders (past and present).
Frogs minted in April of 2022. We are still here.
Have I been quiet? Yes.
Have I stopped believing in the once grand vision of the Frogs? No.
We have some failed business ventures to clean up. The finalizing of that cleanup should come shortly.
The Frogs won't be back.. because we never left.
The Frogs will continue to fail until we don't.
P.S. Best GIF ever

Had a whole article written about the only two options any NFT founder has at this point.
1.) Quit
2.) Keep failing until I don't.
Then, realized nobody is actually going to read all that.. so I deleted it.
This is that article truncated from 10,000+ words to 337 words👇
> I would only be quitting because of degenerate gambling addicts that mostly don't care about anything, but need someone to direct their anger at. This anger really has little to do with me; instead it is a result of their bad choices or bad luck inside and outside of web3.
> Of course, some of our (my?) failures have contributed to their misfortune. However, we also created plenty of opportunities for people to win over the years.
> I would be quitting on good people who stayed around because they "believed" we could succeed.
>Teams have two ways of quitting. Publicly, or silently. You have seen a lot of both.
>I haven't paid much attention to new NFT noise, because they are mostly spinning old narratives in new ways. I am not interested in that.
> The frogs have two paths we are working now. Community led initiatives. My initiatives (i.e. Xeet and others).
> I will help with the community initiatives (when appropriate), and I will work on my initiatives without communicating what the new ones are until the day before I launch them.
> I am happy to hear ideas and constructive criticism. But I don't plan on listening to the same things over and over again. If you think your idea or your way of doing things is better than mine... then go do it.
>To the people on X that can't stop complaining, criticizing, name-calling, blame shifting, rage baiting, trolling, virtue signaling, hand-wringing, teeth-gnashing, whining, crying, and above all attention seeking.... you have two options
1) Deliver your criticism with specific example of how YOU PERSONALLY have done better. In which case I am happy to learn, but still may not take your advice.
2.)Get blocked
Note: Once you have made your point, I can take your advice, or disagree. If you keep coming back over and over again.. see #2 again
> I am going to say what I want to say, when I want to say it.
In Closing:
I am not quitting.
Don't fade the frogs.

This is why I told the frogs that I am not participating in this stuff.
There is/was no reason to think you get a different ending.
There are fewer participants today than there were 3 years ago.
The participants that remain have no intention of bag holding again.
It is no coincidence all these mints are popping up when signs of life came back to NFTs.
You are seeing the same thing in memecoins now.
I obviously don’t have the answers yet on the way forward. But I do know what won’t work… and that is what has already failed time and time again.

Guy who posts 67 times per hour and flexes $112 X payout would like you to know he would never post 4 times for $12
Crazy how life changes.
For years I complained about projects funneling people off X into Discord. I thought it killed the public square. Thought it isolated communities.
I've completely changed my tune.
The algo changes have killed most of what made X fun. I used to spend 8 hours a day here. Now I log in once a day, post a couple times a week, and I'm not chasing engagement or metrics anymore.
The moment I stepped back and focused on actually building community is when I realized how much of X had become noise.
We have some real things cooking. Never been more excited about the future.

I agree with this 100%.
For every action, there's an equal and opposite reaction….
In fact, part of the exodus for the frogs is to figure out ways for our NFT community to connect in a more real way.
I also have an idea I will implement locally…. If it works, I work with the frogs to implement locally for themselves
"We're about to see the explosion of analog."
@garyvee wants to open a restaurant that makes you check your phone in at the door and seats you at communal tables.
"Extreme AI is creating extreme analog. I think it's a barbell."
"I could not be more interested in physical retail, event-driven businesses, in concerts and venues."
"There are a lot of interesting non-digital realities that are coming as a countermove to the insanity of AI advancements."
"We're literally within a half decade of not believing a single video that's on the internet. In 5 years, if we're having this interview, most of the audience is trying to figure out if we're real or not."
"That is very real, and has substantial counter-opportunities."
"Any real entrepreneur, they're not crying about AI killing them. They're curious about how AI at scale is going to create opportunity for them."

The timing on this announcement is not great.
Over the last few weeks I have seen plenty of posts from the armchair CEO's on how they believe Abstract should be run.
As usual, most of the complaining I have seen is unfounded and primarily driven by those who just want their airdrop to come faster.
I regret that Xeet moving will add fuel to the flames of this group.
The obvious question is... why is Xeet moving?
The short answer is that our move is more about our product's vision, and less about the chain(s) involved.
I will just leave it at that.
I would like to personally thank the Abstract team for their support.
They were the first team we pitched the concept of @xeetdotai to, and they have supported us from the beginning.
Xeet is migrating to a new chain.
We will announce which chain soon.
But first, we want to thank the team at Abstract.
We have a lot of appreciation for the way they welcomed us and supported us since we launched.
There are a lot of good people at Abstract who care deeply about what they are building and about the teams building alongside them.
In fact, the Xeet team has other projects on Abstract, and they are staying there.
As we look at where Xeet is going next, we have to make the decisions that best support the vision of the product.
We are grateful for the chapter we had on Abstract, and we have a lot of respect for the team and what they are building.
Now it is time for us to take the next step.
More information to come.
I see the conversations happening and I want to be straight about something.
The vouch system is not perfect. There are good people who haven't gotten in yet. People who have held for years, never complained, never caused problems. I know they exist and I know it's frustrating.
But then I read the same chat and I see people demanding royalties for holding a JPEG. People who haven't opened Discord in months suddenly upset about access. People who don't follow anyone involved in what we're building but feel entitled to a seat.
That contrast is exactly why the system exists.
If you're a holder who has been patient and supportive and you're still waiting, your time is coming. The community is growing and more vouches are happening every week. People inside the server are actively looking for good holders to bring in.
If you're a holder who showed up for the first time in six months to complain about not being included, maybe ask yourself what you were doing for the last six months.
