Kimchi is the first person to truly cross the chasm between crypto and pop culture; the first ever example of a trader becoming a celebrity. He represents exactly where we’re heading: a massive social trading ecosystem that onboards retail and grows to 10x the size we were last cycle. The next wave of users does not come from CT - it comes from the masses - and we're proud to have Kimchi help us set the creative direction that will pave us on the path to a 100x larger ecosystem.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Kimchi is presented as a verified trader celebrity crossing into pop culture, but his signature claims of ~$40M profits trading $TRUMP (and resulting wealth) remain unverified with no disclosed wallet or on-chain proof. memecoin.wiki/wiki/kimchi bitcoinfoundation.org/news/people-in… tapbit.com/en/learn/artic…

I bought this coin as a joke a few hours ago but I'm actually legitimately starting to wonder if it's unironically completely over for onchain

The cycle with no sustained outliers or runners because the field is littered with scammers, ruggers and KOLs who’ve managed to convince themselves that manipulating and extracting from their fellow man is part of the game. Villains and criminals.

It's interesting that whenever pump gets fud or some backlashing against their latest feature designed to extract even more fees from the trenches, they quickly announce a new feature no one asked for or wants, in an attempt to move the news cycle along as quickly as possible Then, their army of paid off kols proclaim said latest feature is the greatest feature the trenches has ever seen It's eerily similar to the propaganda certain states use to deflect from their atrocities Very interesting

the reason your entire timeline looks like an advertising board for @Pumpfun is because @a1lon9 spent the airdrop money on buying complicity from all your favourite KOLs and characters on CT. 3/4 of them aren't even rocking the pf badge, but they're getting paid a monthly retainer - i know this because i know half of them and they took a deal because they cannot make any money in these conditions. the irony of this, of course, is the reason they can't make money onchain anymore is because of the company that is paying for their compliance and/or silence. half these desperate traders under the new pumpfun fees, are being required to pay more in fees back to pf from the exorbitant minimum volume they have to trade, than the money pumpfun are paying them. naturally the guys are the top of the pile, the Hugos, the slingorrs, the ansems, the chairmans etc, are getting a very nice slice of the pie, both in retainers and insane call out payments, but there are countless people with like 2-3k followers on CT getting these goyim mines deals. just know that you're all responsible for the state of things onchain in some way, shape or form, and I hope those couple bands every month help allay your conscience. CT has turned into a cesspit akin to casino slots twitter. I hope you enjoy this mess.

Pumpfun just bought out all the KOLs so basically nobody on CT can say anything bad about them. It’s actually hilarious. Nasty work. You all know who you are too with the badges, shameless.

xitter.cf/a1lon9/status/18198300… we got pumpfun employees taking about PVE and winning on coins appreciating on HTFs. this place has completely lost its fucking mind, i swear on everything that is sacred.
Okay, hear me out: We need a few coins where a large group of people who have held for a minimum 3–6+ months all make millions. The second that happens, everybody will be scared to sell their coins, and we will bring back holding culture and believing in something forever.

crypto is starting to feel like idiocracy playing out in real time. we went from people debating how protocols generate revenue and capture value to people debating which animal picture has the best chance of being the daily runner. somehow the people who can barely see beyond the next $100k topper now control most of the attention. how is the market supposed to discover real innovation when the people driving the narrative can’t recognize anything beyond a chart? the industry didn’t necessarily get dumber. it just started rewarding the dumbest behavior.

yeah fomo fills are fucking dogwater (if you're gambling on low liq daily runner slop), yes their fees for most accounts are fucking ridiculous and yes some of the largest KOLs on their books are some of the biggest slimy pieces of shit in the space. but at least i don't feel like they're trying to gape my anus, steal every dollar out of my bank account and employ a succubus to suck my soul out of my third eye. if fomo is a pernicious, ruthless fat cat capitalist, then pumpfun is Beelzebub yanked out of the 9th ring of hell.

Look at the timeline No one outside of paid off pump shills wants these celeb coins or for kols to become 'celebs' and extract even more from the plebs Every coin has pumpdex fees, pumpswap, terminal or bot fees, creator rewards, cashback, call out rewards, etc It is endless extraction, taking money out of coins and giving it to deployers, bundlers and kols, making the slice of the pie plebs have access to ever smaller But it's the plebs that make this space - without them - there's nothing to extract But you are bleeding us dry Meanwhile yourself and others have taken huge paid deals from pump, when instead you have the platform to lead us to a better way if you wanted to Robinhood took marketshare from pump and sol and the market was great, now the market share has gone back to pump and we are all getting farmed to zero again This is because pump only cares about spending money to generate fees through their ecosystem. They don't care about coins that people hold because they don't make anything from it. They need pnds for their revenue. With each pnd deploy a huge amount is extracted from the trenches, never to be seen again. This is not sustainable. And it's why it's rare to see coins on pump go to a high mc. It's a race to the bottom Where is the airdrop? Will you start advocating for it again? Or do the plebs have to give it up so 'celeb' kols can get paid?

dear @Pumpfun, the formula is simple: -make coins ceilings go higher -make more traders rich -traders who are rich tell their friends about them getting rich on coins -friends sign up to try and get rich like their friends it worked literally EVERY CYCLE. NOBODY is getting rich buying your coins so NOBODY is onboarding their friends.

retail has always been onboarded from memes / communities than any individual traders people who have been here for multiple cycles still dont understand this more people got into crypto because of doge, xrp, link marines, safemoon, shib, pepe, bonk, fartcoin, trump than any one single trader name me one single trader that a normie on the street would know in crypto but they will know about all these memes. forget marketing their own memes they dont even have a dedicated page for them on their own app or website.

trading is cringe, lame and gay. there is zero aura behind trading crypto. no amount of narrative massaging from alon the goyim wrangler is going to change the fact that trading crypto is a means to an end for making money. I have not seen a single doxxed person in crypto who is legitimately charismatic, eminating aura and could be described as cool. this is the kind of thing you do anonymously and when you tell your friends what you do you keep the details to a minimum. you provide zero value to society here, you are gambling and far over on the risk curve, that is all. kimchi is like 100 pounds soaking wet and in his vlogs reads like a socially retarded dork in class who minces around women like a ghoulish spectre, barely talking to them whilst making zero eye contact. almost everyone who doxxes in crypto has done so because it's literally the only industry or arena wherein the social bar is so profoundly low that even a painfully average looking person with zero charisma can give the pretence of being cool on their highly curated streams and vlogs. stop trying to make crypto cool you retards, just make the environment MORE PROFITABLE FOR MORE PEOPLE. nobody gives a single FUCK about your lifestyle, your clothes, your watch, or your hot takes on politics or peptides. all anyone cares about is the trades you can nail, or the ideas onchain that you can incubate and bring to life.
