Academic work is literally spending two hours on two paragraphs, and then if you're lucky, feeling really freaking good about those two damn paragraphs. #phdlife

because minerals in recycled water corrode the cooling systems let that sink in... the machine is more valuable than the resource that keeps humans alive and we're all just asking it to write cover letters while aquifers run dry 💀🙏

When you see your taxes being spent on feeding children instead of bombing them.
The breakfasts are not free. They are paid for by taxes - mostly on parents who feed their own kids. Most of these 10,000 children would have had a perfectly healthy breakfast at home without these clubs. This isn't about helping the poorest kids, it's the state taking over the basic job of parenting.

This is a highly under-appreciated and underdiscussed aspect of why the 🇺🇸 oligarchy hates the idea of universal healthcare. They want us trapped in our jobs. #MedicareForAll

A Congressperson can be missing while paid for 6 months without repercussions, but if a service worker sits in a break room for 10 min on the clock it is called theft of time and they get fired.

all of this theater for killing one person pisses me the fuck off when they call school shootings inevitable and do LITERALLY nothing to try and stop them. anything to protect fucking ceos but slaughtered children are just the cost of freedom.

Reminder—student loans exist because Reagan was a racist & misogynist who didn't want "undesirables" (women & minorities) to get higher education so he defunded public education & forced privatization—thus canceling student loans is an economic, racial, & gender justice necessity

The USPS is the nation’s lifeline, ensuring delivery to every corner of the country. We cannot allow it to be dismantled, sold off, and handed over to Wall Street billionaires for profit. Privatization would increase costs, reduce access, and be an utter disaster.

Billionaires can write off the entire cost of their private jets and yachts on their taxes, but teachers can only write off up to $300 of school supplies for their classrooms. This is what an oligarchy looks like.

The 55,000 public servants approved for debt cancellation today are workers who have dedicated their lives to giving back to their communities. Now, they are finally earning the relief they are entitled to under the law.

they've historically handed off packages to *THE US POSTAL SERVICE* for "last-mile delivery," for which the usps is the largest carrier in america. you guys are so confident despite knowing nothing. it's amazing lol
how do UPS, FedEx, DHL, etc manage to deliver to rural areas then?

Our new rule makes it clear to airlines that all checked wheelchairs and other mobility devices must be returned to a passenger in the same condition as received. This standard will enable the Department to better hold airlines accountable.
