HAPPY BIRTHDAY WAVERLEY! 🥳🚢
77 Years ago today Waverley made her maiden voyage from Craigendoran to Rothesay then up Loch Goil and Loch Long to Arrochar.
On Monday 16th June 1947 Waverley entered service as the new post war paddler built for the London & North Eastern Railway, she was the last paddle steamer to be built for Clyde service but unknowingly would become the World’s last seagoing paddle steamer!
Waverley returns to Glasgow & the Clyde Coast from Friday 28th June to Sunday 25th August 2024.
We are delighted to announce that for 2024 Child (5-16) fares on all Glasgow & Clyde Coast sailings will be just £1 to mark the 50th Anniversary since Waverley was gifted to the Paddle Steamer Preservation Society for £1. Children under 5 go FREE on all sailings.
