It never fails to amaze me how often the broadcast manages to chose a play that didn't work out when trying to highlight how good McDavid is. Like he makes so many incredible plays and they seem to always pick a bad one to not match what they say.

"It's pretty easy to gain the zone on the power play when you have a cheat code like this that works all the time!" They say as they show a clip of McDavid skate over the blue line, lose the puck and skate back out of the zone. There's literally 10k examples of good zone entries

Ok here me out. Penalties in OT: Instead of going to 4v4 until the next whistle, when the player comes out of the box, he doesn't just re-join the play. He has to dash across to the player bench & if the other team doesn't get their 4th guy off before he does it's Too Many Men.

The retaliation perspective aside, why do we allow defensemen to cross check in the front of the net for free, but forwards are an immediate penalty?

Howard—McDavid—Hyman Podkolzin—Draisaitl—Savoie Hallander—Nugent-Hopkins—Kapanen Dach—Dickinson—Frederic Samanski/Michaels/Joseph Is the lineup I'd like to see with a top 6 winger addition at the deadline.

I think it's time for that 3rd line to come to an end. Nugent-Hopkins and Hyman are back and they've been getting caved in. I think maybe you move Dach back to the wing, replacing Formenton. Then either Hallander or Samanski at 4C after waiving Max Jones.

Actually, better yet would be Nugent-Hopkins as 3C with Draisaitl centering his own line, but alas.
