Runway Ads is now available to all paying subscribers.
We built this for ourselves and ended up reducing cost per subscriber by 41%.
Your brand kit carries through every variant, and nothing goes live until your team approves it. Approved ads publish directly to your connected accounts.
If you can describe it, you can run it as a video ad.
Runway Ads turns your creative direction into on-brand ads for every platform, then learns what wins and builds the ad to beat it.
Teams like @Lovable already use Runway Ads to scale ad creative and cut production time.

Mark up any image and retouch exactly the areas you annotate. Everything else stays untouched.

it's impossible to keep up with AI so I built an app to let me speed-read the day's top headlines. Try it yourself (and enable cracked mode if you can handle it) at ai-speedread--rw.runway.stud…

Here's an app I made in App Studio called Image Blender, which allows you to combine various images together, choose the attributes you like about them and generate new images from the blend. It's super fun. Give it a try 👇

I get asked all the time "how do you style lineups like that?!" So I built an app for that in @runwayml 's App Studio 💅

August: 71% of my browser software screentime was external SaaS.
Last week: 72% was apps we built ourselves.
What changed? We built a platform for custom apps.
Building UIs got easy earlier this year, but deploying, hosting, wiring APIs, configuring billing, sharing, and fixing the same UX pattern bug again were still annoyingly slow.
Now we're making it available to y'all: xitter.cf/runwayml/status/211480…

Runway App Studio is now live. One of our most exciting and anticipated releases.
We started building this internally for our team to use, and within just a few weeks, it was seeing incredible usage. The only reasonable thing to do was to release it to the world.
I strongly believe that most of the interfaces we use to control models will be specific to each individual. Not many-to-one, but one-to-one. Any form of control you can imagine. Any version of Runway you want.
Introducing Runway App Studio.
Build the creative app you wish existed, just by describing it. It generates images, video and audio with Runway’s models and your Brand Kits, ready for you or your whole team. No code required.
See examples in the thread below.

Coding agents let millions of people build software by describing what they need.
App Studio brings that to creative work: describe the tool you need and get a working app that generates images, video and audio.

Build with Kling 4.0 on Runway Dev.
Access it via API alongside the full Kling lineup and generate up to 30 seconds of native video with audio, with up to 15 references and 10 keyframes for precise control. Get 20% off Kling 4 through November 30. Start building at the link below.
🚨 New in @runwayml Workflows: Subject Tracking 🎯
Turn one clip into every screen format (vertical, square, widescreen) while keeping the action in frame. No regenerating.
Tell it what to follow with Subject Instruction. Works on up to 2 min of 1080p footage.
App Studio and Agent support coming soon.
I've made a career making things for myself. The kind of dumb but smartly insightful things that clients rarely "get", let alone greenlight. It's why I am so invested in what we're building. And why I cannot wait for everyone to get their hands on what @c_valenzuelab is talking about below.
What I Talk About When I Talk About Control
Making something and having the skill to make it used to feel tightly linked. Now the outcome no longer proves you have the skill. Or does it?
When text-to-video first started working, that’s what it felt like. All you had to do was type in a short text description, press a button, and voila. It was magic or cheating, depending on how you looked at it. The fact that it worked at all was a breakthrough, but it also didn’t look like the person making the thing had done very much. We’d created something like auto mode for generative video, and “auto” isn’t a word we associate with craft. Yes, prompting is a skill, but being a better “describer” of the thing you want to make isn’t something we’ve historically been satisfied with as skill, unless your craft itself was flowery prose.
As the models get more capable, the makers want more degrees of freedom to try things. New places to make choices become new places to exercise judgment, and enough judgment creates the possibility of craft. Creators start developing intuitions about the models, just like people have developed intuitions about cameras, editing software, or any other medium.
New capabilities show up before we can understand them. So we build whatever interface we can manage to. Minimum viable control and minimum interfaces to get started. That becomes the first auto mode for that new tool. Then people use it, push it against its limits, and give us pretty loud hints at what they want to be able to do next. It takes time to figure out which new primitives are powerful, and where users want more control.
People want more control. And they want more degrees of freedom. I believe that part of what makes models more controllable is that they become personal. AI is fundamentally a general purpose technology that can be shaped in any unique way you want. Models are generalization machines that can adapt to what you need. Everyone has a different way of using models. Different ways of finding them useful and productive.
I strongly believe that most of the interfaces we use to control models will be individual-specific instead of general. Not many to one, but one to one. Any form of control you can imagine. Any version of Runway you want. Soon.
