Real trading confidence didn't come from winning more. It came from keeping promises to myself. Green days feel good, days when you follow your rules build long-term trust!
Managed to stay out of yesterday's madness on my accounts. Phew! After I wrecked my knee and confined to crutches I think I'm more susceptible to stupid trades though. Taking 2 or 3 weeks off to focus on getting stronger, and getting outside. You know when you just feel like you're not able to trade your A or even B game? That's me just now. I'll be watching my favourite peeps to cheer you all on 🫡
This is my typical equity curve. I call it, "base hit, base hit, base jump" 😂 It's really obvious what I need to work on; taking oversized losses on anomalous days where I've less or no edge. But I like being in the trenches, it's where I do my best work. I don't give up on accounts easily.
Every now and then the market gives you a stern reminder your rules are non-negotiable, that if if you ever stray from your planned risk profile or are unable to take a planned loss - you're going to pay. I had that reminder on Monday after my best month of 2026 in October. But I didn't blow any accounts. You'll have rubbish days that set you back, but if you're able to stop without doubling down multiple times you'll at least give yourself space to recover. After a day or two the pain subsides a bit, and you don't feel as desperate to get it back in one go. If you have an awful day, just box it off as that; dont turn it into a horrible week and month. Obviously if you can, confine it to one bad trade 😂 That's my next step. I'm mentally fresh and ready to recover. Sustainably. Let's get it 🤝
Pretty much the worst start to November on my CFDs possible. Not blown anything, but massive drawdown hits.
This market is taking the piss out of me atm. Misses my market order short. I get frustrated and try and long later in the day, selling accelerates and smashes my SL.
Stupid trade yesterday, but made up for it today. No idea of exact total but reckon 2-3k across CFDs and Futures. Lovely way to finish the week and month 🙏🙏 Hope you're making dough out there too!
Just bust my tradeify level up account in 5 mins. Pure frustration at not getting a single trade all week. Started as a small long trade (totally invalid), and just kept adding till bust. This week can get in the bin.
Not found a trade I wanted to take after missing one yesterday. That's the way it goes. We look again tomorrow! Hope you all had a good day 🙏
Missed the long on the pre market pullback to 29k Nasdaq. Ho hum. That's probably it for me today, not getting a better trade than that
Hmmm. Still in a range here on Nasdaq, flat this morning. Not convinced on longs yet. Might pick up a short later if we flush and it sets up. Down to 28250-600 I'll look for evidence of bulls coming back in this week. If we go up another break of 29050 might set me up long. Need to check SPX too for some confluence levels. I like it when the two indexes jive at corresponding pivot levels. Good luck out there, keep it simple, stick to a plan 📝
Didn't trade at all last two days, been in hospital doing tests to see if I had septic arthritis 😭 Anyway turns out I've just torn my meniscus yay! So awful injury but at least I avoid 2 weeks in hospital on an IV drip.
Algos playing a game of screw you all so far today in NY session. Still favouring long on Nasdaq but no setup just yet.
Missed an absolute peach of a sell setup on nasdaq 😭 Gutted. Have to be careful not to chase the missed opportunity now grrrr.
What am I missing with this perp fad? I can't see the conditions are any better than a decent CFD or Futures deal. The slippage appears to be insane. And the instant funding makes zero sense to me. If I want $500 to trade, I can deposit that in an account and keep 100% of the profits. What am I missing?
I'll be looking for a long to trigger on Nasdaq today i suspect, but not set up yet. Nothing else doing for me this morning. Potential short on FTSE at some point but that setup still baking in the oven too. If nothing comes up grand, if I'm wrong and a Nasdaq short sets up, also grand. We all have bias, it's human. But the moment prediction is your main catalyst for trades you're in trouble. Wasted many a $ trading something I thought *should* happen.
