Cinematographer William Hellmuth recently shot a camera test using a classic 1950s Bel Air car. Given the PYXIS 6K is now completely mountable, William’s idea was to test the balance of the PYXIS on gimbal, car-rig and handheld shots. Learn more at bmd.link/dhKyAh

My mom died when I was 17. I only have a handful of pictures and zero videos of her. A couple years ago, on my birthday, I got a text from a number I didn’t recognize. It simply said “happy birthday” with a YouTube link. I clicked it and my heart stopped. It was my mom.
I had to pull over immediately. She was telling me how proud she was of me and how she wondered what I’d become. Maybe a policeman, a preacher, or even a clown. I couldn’t believe it.
Well, it turns out the random phone number was my friend Jon’s dad, who had found this video on an old VHS tape they made before a 1999 school event. I was 16.
This experience got me thinking... what if we could have one last conversation with someone we lost?

5* review for Dixieland!
“The performances delivered by Todd and Orazio are nothing short of extraordinary. Both actors bring a depth and nuance to their characters that will leave viewers chilled, moved, and gripped by the unfolding story.”

Dixieland ★★★★ @HollyShorts
The emotionally impactful Dixieland has a simple premise but executes it brilliantly. William Hellmuth's short pulls you in for 14 brief minutes. @TonyTodd54 & Philip Orazio are on top form in this terrific period drama.

What a privilege it was to make a film with these artists. My short film, Dixieland, had its world premiere at @LAshortsFest and it was incredible. Thank you to all who came and showed your support!

Just got the dailies for my directorial debut (a short) and couldn’t be more thrilled with what we got. There’s no greater feeling than seeing something entirely in your head brought to life by incredibly talented people.
The cinematography of Stranded 3. I had such a fun time on this one.

Shoutout to the lady at the airport who checked my 53lb bag and said/charged nothing about it being over the weight limit.
World premiere for Dixieland, starring @TonyTodd54! July 30th at the prestigious @LAshortsFest. It was an honor directing this film.
