OBAMA: The president wasn't even mad. About The Saddam Hussein comparison. That part didn't bother him. But he was very upset about The Cheesecake Factory. He took great umbrage. He said I didn't understand the work of the artisans in the White House.
They mobilized a whole of government response to that joke. Not to inflation, but to that joke.

This morning, I attended a House Oversight and Government Reform Committee meeting, where members advanced a deeply anti-DC bill that could devastate our economy and undermine our ability to govern our own city.
I was stunned to learn that DoorDash, a company that employs tens of thousands of Dashers in DC and partners with thousands of DC merchants, sent a letter supporting one of the biggest assaults on DC in decades.
It is absolutely outrageous that a company profiting from our city would support legislation that could do such serious harm to it.
I have contacted DoorDash and demanded an explanation. Washingtonians deserve answers, and I will report back when I receive them.

It’s not just that the DOGE goons are idiots - it’s that everyone wiping out grants, programs, jobs, history is acting based on the whitewashed lie Trump has created .

In his deposition, DOGE employee Justin Fox said he used AI to tag DEI grants to cancel — without ever instructing the AI on what DEI is. Among the grants terminated was a $350k grant to replace an aging HVAC system at the High Point Museum in North Carolina. The AI flagged it because the grant stated, ‘Improving HVAC systems enhances preservation conditions for collections, aligning with the goal of providing greater access to diverse audiences.’
Not 🤬 AI.
