Ukrainians keep showing enormous courage in defending their country against Putin’s immoral and indeed evil efforts to conquer a neighbor. They have resisted now for four years and eight months and we should do all we can to help them.

In the Kherson region, a russian drone dropped explosives on a man walking his dog. The dog was killed instantly. The man’s fate is still unknown.
russian troops didn’t just attack a defenseless civilian. They filmed it and shared the footage online themselves. Deliberately targeting civilians is a war crime, and russia is committing it openly, in front of the whole world.

One of the worst weeks for U.S.–Ukraine relations in recent memory.
I'm outraged by the Trump administration's decisions and their potential consequences for Ukrainian lives.
America should stand with democracies, not dictatorships.

This morning, a Russian guided bomb struck Good News Church in Kramatorsk, Ukraine, during Sunday morning hours.
Pastor Viktor Pavenko has served this city for more than 35 years. His church runs an important bread ministry for the poor and for people who have no family left to care for them. Our teammate Karl Ahlgren slept in this building a few weeks ago while delivering aid.
By God’s grace, no one was inside or injured in the attack on the church.
Kramatorsk is under heavy bombardment. Ten days ago, a glide bomb hit buses in the city and killed at least 30 people.
🙏 Please pray for Pastor Viktor and his congregation as they work out how to keep feeding their neighbors. Pray for the people of Kramatorsk. And pray for those who launched this bomb, that their hearts would turn (Matthew 5:44).
🤲 Help us tell their story. Share this post.

🇺🇦 Zelenskyy delivers a blunt message to the United States:
“Just give us Starlink back. If you refuse, Ukraine will survive. We will continue defending ourselves with or without it.
But why would you restrict a country fighting for its survival? Why make it harder for us to defend our people?
I simply cannot understand the reasoning behind this decision. It is a mistake.”
Ukraine isn’t asking America to fight its war. It’s asking America not to stand in the way of its defense.

🚨BREAKING: This new chart from @TheStudyofWar overlays Ukraine’s strikes on Russian refineries with the price of diesel fuel. There is NO CORRELATION between strikes on Russian refineries and spikes in the price of diesel here in the U.S. They are not driving up prices here.

This is a Russian jet-powered Shahed drone striking a supermarket in Odesa in broad daylight today.
This is terrorism. Terrorists shouldn't be rewarded with lucrative business deals. They must be repelled, arrested, and prosecuted.

Statement from @UkraineCaucus Co-Chairs @RepMarcyKaptur @RepBrianFitz @RepMikeQuigley and @RepJoeWilson:

ALT Social media graphic with statement from @UkraineCaucus Co-Chairs @RepMarcyKaptur @RepBrianFitz @RepMikeQuigley and @RepJoeWilson: We are alarmed by reports from Ukraine that US intelligence and Starlink support are being withheld, putting innocent civilians and American citizens in Ukraine at the mercy of Russian attacks. Congress has repeatedly made clear that the United States should provide intelligence support to save lives from Russia's merciless strikes. US allies pay for Ukraine's access to Starlink. Restrictions that put civilians in harm's way are unconscionable and will not be accepted by Congress.

Just awful.
The free world must respond to these atrocities.
Indifference is immoral.
33 people killed. Simply travelling on a bus.
This is the horrific reality of Russia’s war against Ukraine.
Yesterday, a Russian guided aerial bomb struck a street in Kramatorsk, hitting two passenger buses. At least 33 people were killed and 18 injured.
People going about their daily lives — commuting, travelling, trying to get home — were killed in a devastating attack on civilians.
This comes just one day after Russia’s deadly strike on a residential building in Pryluky, which killed 22 people, including five children.
These are not isolated tragedies. They are the daily reality of Russia’s war against Ukraine.

Not only was Ovechkin in a campaign ad for Putin last month, but he has been an open supporter of Putin for years.
He should not be celebrated in free countries.
In 2012, under the CTR Program, we hosted a Chinese delegation visit to U.S. national laboratories and we conducted reciprocal visits to the Chinese Nuclear Security Training Center outside Beijing. Cooperation was productive and useful. We should try to re-engage.

Sooner the better. He should not have returned this year after he decided he wanted to promote the brutal war on Ukraine. Russia has killed Ukrainian hockey players during this war and he expressed his support for that war before returning this year.

Alex #Ovechkin could've retired as one of the most beloved players in NHL history. All he had to do was stay out of Russia's politics, the way almost every other Russian star NHLer has. Instead, he chose to support a ruthless war criminal. And now, he must live with the blowback.
