Early design document from the planning stages of Donkey Kong gives us a very interesting look into what the game was like when they were using characters from Popeye. Sprites for Olive Oyl, Popeye, and Bluto are seen in the top left. (Scan thanks to Gaming Historian!)

I think every 2D artist should at least try 3D because you can get pretty wild it once you know how to apply em to your existing 2D artwork, not only it's cool to see your artwork animated, but it is also fun to make, and I think Blender is a great tool for it. (1/2) #b3d
