This is the intended result of STV. You want every constituency, no matter how small, to have representation if they have the discipline or inward focus to only rank themselves, then you get EVERY constituency, including, oddly enough, Vickie Paladino.
NEW: Former City Council candidate Layla Law-Gisiko has been elected a delegate to the NYC-DSA convention. Law-Gisiko had come under fire from other DSA members for donating to anti-DSA candidates & appearing alongside MAGA City Council Member Vickie Paladino at a presser.

RUMOR: BioWare developers have reportedly attempted to buy out the studio along with the Mass Effect IP before shutting it down🚀 EA is claimed ti have shown no interest in the deal and proceeded to close the studio. Source: @baundiesel If this is true, it would go down in the long list of abhorrent practices of EA over the years. It a studio wants to leave, and clearly you have no interest in the IPs they work on, let them go. What’s the point of keeping or destroying something?😡

This is not something I ever expected to see. Larian and Bioware started their trajectories in the games industry at the same time and Bioware led the way in making RPGs big. It's almost unimaginable that we're now entering an era were the name Bioware won't show up anymore when discussing upcoming RPGs. What a loss for all of us. Thank you for all the games. Thank you for the many hours of gameplay. Thank you for all the stories . You can be damned proud of what you achieved. I hope you all land well.

To help against misinformation: This is the result of the Saudi Arabian buyout deal. The most ridiculous deal ever made where EA could barely cover the cost of the debt it accrued. A lot of people will attach their personal feelings to the "why" but this is the real reason ^

This is private equity, this is what it does. Buy up businesses, run them into the ground, and rip them apart for short-term profit. The developers at BioWare know how to run the studio. They know how to make the games we all love. They should be given the first opportunity - and the federal support - to buy it and run it themselves. And if we want to avoid the Mass Effect effect in Canada, we should be keeping private equity out, not welcoming it in. pcgamer.com/gaming-industry/…

“A young kid”
Abdul continues to hide who he is as he beats up a young kid. His faith isn’t the issue. His ideas are. He wrote an oped urging Americans to support the Muslim Brotherhood if they took over Egypt. After they took over, he publicly called for the MB to purge the police and the media of those who oppose the MB. That’s right - purge. He calls Israel “bloodthirsty”. Who talks like that? When a Hezbollah inspired terrorist in tried to blow up a synagogue in Michigan, Abdul justified it by explaining, “hurt people hurt people.” The terrorist’s brother was a Hezbollah commander in Lebanon who had been killed by Israel. Abdul’s mother was a MB member, his sister supported the 10/7 Hamas massacre of Jews and the Obama Administration put Abdul’s sister in law on the terrorist watch list. Alone among American candidates, the Muslim Brotherhood issued a statement celebrating Abdul’s win in the D primary. I don’t know what Abdul is. But I know he’s a risk America can’t afford.

A “voter guide” purportedly from the Beacon Coalition urges people to vote for Mike Rogers while listing him alongside Democratic candidates in other races The Beacon Coalition, funded by Third Way’s Moderate Power Fund, only mentions Pennsylvania voter guides on their website
The racism and bigotry in this race truly makes me sick. The people on this flyer clearly don’t have an issue with this bc none of them said anything about it.

Return address “DSA” in New York. Postmarked San Antonio, TX. Nothing to see here!
Today, my district office received a suspicious package similar to those sent to other congressional offices across the country. Our office was evacuated, and I’m grateful that my staff is safe. I want to thank the Prince William County Police and Fire Departments, as well as federal law enforcement, for their swift response and professionalism. Political violence and intimidation have no place in our democracy. Those responsible must be held accountable.

But in all seriousness, the reaction from Japanese One Piece fans to people using the Straw Hat Jolly Roger in protests has been genuinely pissing me off. So many of them are more concerned about people bringing One Piece into real-life politics, calling it dangerous rhetoric and worrying that the series could get banned in certain countries, than they are about WHY people are even using it in the first place. And I think this perfectly highlights the disconnect between Japanese fans and international fans. For some of them, One Piece is a manga they love and want to protect from controversy. For a lot of us, its themes of oppression, corruption, government tyranny and the fight for freedom hit a little closer to home. Some of us have lived through these things. Some of us have watched our families and loved ones suffer and die because of corrupt governments and injustice. They can afford to treat these themes as fiction because they don’t necessarily have to relate them to their own reality. But when people who have experienced these things firsthand see the Straw Hat flag as a symbol of resistance and freedom, why is they’re first reaction to police how other fans use it rather than understand why it resonates with them in the first place? And that’s what bothers me. Instead of trying to understand why people from completely different backgrounds see themselves in this story, they’re dismissing it as dangerous political rhetoric that might get one piece banned in these countries

Virtually every university across North Carolina has lost its early voting site. This is a coordinated assault on youth & minority turnout.
North Carolina A&T students marched an hour each way to vote on the first day of early voting after their campus polling site was removed by the Guilford County Elections Board. Proud 👏🏽
