Can a more humanoid robot address a user's emotional needs better? Perhaps. Better than my therapist? Likely not. Can my pets provide better comfort than my therapist? Uh. Tail wag. Ya. So, let's create relatable robots that leverage inherent machine-ness! uxdesign.cc/why-robots-might…

“There will be a time where, above the din of suffering we ask, ‘How can we use this to make something better of our situation?’” Proud to be featured in @nytimes as part of the solution to help convert the suffering and frustration of this national moment into hope and action.
I followed this emergency room doctor of @Vot_ER_org for six months. I could have written 5,000 words, but here is a small slice of what I learned: In Era of Sickness, Doctors Prescribe Unusual Cure: Voting nytimes.com/2020/07/25/us/in…

Although we compete with them in the market, it was cool to hang out with @MistyRobotics and their robot at #CES2019. Although their idea is similar to ours, you can see that the execution was staggeringly different. That's the beauty of robotics :)

Can’t stand the cuteness of the new Lovot robot, especially the clothing line and pair-mode sleeping. I think the expressivity in the eyes is my favourite part, though :)

Women perform just as well as men on spatial tests when the tasks include human-like figures. The implications of this study are huge. What exercises are we giving to our tech students? Do we include social aspects to equalize performance? sciencedaily.com/releases/20…
