Little closeups and small breakdown in substance painter on how I achieved this pearly look for my silks using masks and curvature generators!
For my base I used a standard satin silk material, keeping it as a muted teal. Then I brought in a sea green wash (saturation layer mode), then added a pink splotchy wash in those same zones (color dodge), AND THEN inverted the curvature generator for purple (soft light)
File corrupted for the dress but I forgot substance painter makes 2 autobacks. This is your reminder to save in incriminates 🤝
Outfit I started making today :3!! This is for my outfit sets for my brothel sirens! Inspired by the SW in Dishonored (love the concept art for them) and Christian Lacroix (and a dash of Galliano) excited to detail and texture this one aghhh
Progress from today! Added some additional layer masks to give the silk a more pearly appearance. Planning on making a matte variant as well but I’m have a lotttt of fun blending things together! Also added some florals to the skirt as well- tried to mimic perrotine printing
