Wix cut wasted AI spend by checking whether a skill can actually be executed before offering it to users. Across 756,000+ messages, the gate matched only 59.4% of requested skills as executable — saving 228.8M tokens that would've gone to doomed attempts. Wix Engineering also details runtime checks that caught agent design flaws other tests missed.
Dashboardless products, zero-downtime migrations, lessons from production incidents, two upcoming meetups and more: Here’s what’s inside our latest @Wix Engineering newsletter - 🚩 Our AI Agent’s Design Looked Complete. 3 Runtime Checks Proved It Wrong / @yoavabrahami Unnecessary APIs, over-engineered types, and an update flow that would leave stale data on screen. Written mostly by the agent itself (!), this account of designing for Wix’s Jay framework shows how human review caught the flaws - with four practical checks for working with AI agents. 🧩 No Dashboard, No Menus: How We Built an Interface Around Intent / Idan Layfer What happens when an AI agent brings users the UI they need? We are bringing @Wix's powerful tools into more hands as a SpaceX Super Intelligence Launch Partner. As a @SpaceXSI partner, we're bringing Wix's capabilities, including Wix Headless, into agentic workflows. In @grok, that means making it easier to build, customize, and manage web experiences with Wix using natural language

We moved into our new @Wix New York office today. It looks great. But honestly, it's the same team that was in the old one, and that's what makes it feel like home. Thanks to everyone who pulled this off.

What does it take to build agentic products on open-weight models? @ittaiz is speaking at @NVIDIA GTC Berlin 2026! 👏 He'll join a panel exploring why builders are moving to open-weight models, the trade-offs in cost, latency, and quality, and what it takes to run them safely at scale - including what stays on closed models and why. Good luck, Ittai!

איך חיזוי המילה הבאה הפך לבינה מלאכותית שיודעת לכתוב קוד ולהפעיל תוכנות? גלעד ברקן ראש גילדת הדאטה סיינס ב-Wix הנגיש את המאמר החדש שלו - From Autocomplete to Intelligence: How Language Became the Operating System of AI - למסמך פתוח בעברית, בשביל שכולם יוכלו ללמוד.
AI can write code, use tools, and power autonomous agents. Yet at its core, it does one surprisingly simple thing: predict 🔮 the next word. So how did autocomplete become intelligence? In his new article, Gilad Barkan cuts through the weekly noise of new models and frameworks to explain why language became the operating system of AI. Learn how LLMs actually acquire intelligence, why Transformers and scale changed everything, and where today’s models still fall short. Along the way, he connects ideas from leading thinkers and AI pioneers, including @ylecun, @AndrewYNg, and @harari_yuval. No technical background required: wix.engineering/post/from-au…

I like getting shit done. So do our agents. @Symphony_co_ by @Wix now connects to @link, @stripe's wallet for agents. That means our agents can finish the job: reorder stock before it runs out, pay a supplier invoice the day it lands, cover an event entry fee before the deadline. You approve each payment from your phone. The agents never see your card, and every transaction is capped at the amount you approved. wix.com/press-room/home/post…

I'm doing a major refactor of Octocode, and I'm trying a new approach to check tool schemas and descriptions, which works really good for me. 𝐀𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐜 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐞𝐰𝐬 I use large models (Claude Opus, OpenAI Astra,..) to create tools protocols. Then I give those specs to smaller models (Haiku, Luna…) and interview them. I force reasoned answers to: - What did you understand? - What's unclear or ambiguous? - What assumptions could break? - Where is it incomplete? - What edge cases will you fail on? - When would you ask the user for clarification? - How do you measure success/failure? - Can you generate outputs that strictly follow the protocol? - Can you execute it? Their answers expose gaps the big models missed. Then I fix the gaps and repeat Cleaner way to improve complex agent behavior 🐙 P.S - I will ship this methodology to the next prompts optimizer skill github.com/bgauryy/octocode/…

Nobody starts a business because they love paying supplier invoices on Friday afternoons. So we're taking that off your plate. @Symphony_co_ by @Wix now connects to @link's wallet for agents by @stripe, our agents handle the payment, you approve it in seconds, and it never touches your to-do list again. Build the thing you actually started this for. We've got the rest. wix.com/press-room/home/post…

Thanks @morad for making good things to happen @ @Wix ! I was happy to share my knowledge and experience from building AI tools (and Octocode), and I feel privileged to be in this position. For anyone who wants to learn and do the workshop, it's right here: github.com/bgauryy/octocode-…
Yesterday at @Wix Campus TLV, we got hands-on with Octocode 🐙 in a practical workshop led by @guy_bary. We built an MCP server, created tools AI agents can use, and practiced researching real codebases. We also explored how Octocode connects local code, GitHub, and npm to help agents ground their answers in evidence, alongside best practices for developing reliable tools with MCP and Skills. This is an important ❤️ part of what we do at Wix Engineering: sharing practical knowledge with the developer community and the wider industry. Workshops like this give developers room to experiment, ask questions, and bring what they learn back to their teams - helping them build better and move faster. Thank you, Guy, and everyone who joined us to learn and build together! * Slides here >> github.com/bgauryy/octocode-… * Octocode here >> octocode.ai/

Incredibly well deserved, @yoavabrahami on being named one of the top engineering leaders to follow. So much of how @Wix builds today traces back to Yoav's thinking, and he's always been generous about sharing it beyond our walls. Also, he's my brother, so I'm allowed to brag a little.
We're proud to see @yoavabrahami included in this important community-curated list of 15 engineering leaders worth following! 👏 Yoav turns complex architectural decisions into clear, practical lessons and shares them openly with the engineering community, helping engineers learn from Wix's experience, build better systems, and move the industry forward:

Our AI agent is actively improving our engineering methodology—the Design Log method. After 2 days of architectural review, its workflow insights were so sharp we had the agent write the recap itself. Not a human using AI to write. This is the AI agent recapping its own design journey. We’re building Jay (a web framework for AI agents to code websites). DL#193 was one of our hardest features yet: Figma-style component overrides. wix.engineering/post/our-ai-…

I think we just broke content creation. (Or maybe fixed it?) I gave Claude Code (Opus 5.5) access to @Wix's Wixel MCP, let it run freely overnight and woke up to this.
