Maybe other clubs are monitoring, but I doubt anything will happen. Ross loves the club and also, as of a few months ago at least, Rossy didn't want to give up on playing.
Will be interesting to see whether this puts pressure on Woking to make him the permanent manager.
Blimey... This is not good news.
Kamara would be a welcome addition, but Wardy is something special, the bid better be big with a nice sell on clause.
Any Southend fans wondering what he's like? he's a truly magical player when he's at his best.
Tom Dryer's first goal for Woking (excluding Surrey Cup):
Very well taken from the 19 year old academy graduate 🔴⚪
I don't care that this is a Mickey Mouse Cup, we've got no game for almost three weeks, let's go full strength in this and qualify for the next round.
Being in the Quarter-Finals of a cup competition is better than nothing.
Woking have one of the weirdest form records in the league:
Woking have lost 3 consecutive home league games 📉
Woking have won 4 consecutive away league games. 📈
Average Woking fan experience I suppose 😂
GET IN!
Despite the referee's best efforts, Woking comes away with a well deserved three points.
I don't think we were at our best today, but good teams are able to win games when not at their best. Fans were excellent too. Great 3 points 🟡🔵
My Prediction for Tamworth:
Tamworth's attack is great, no doubt about that, but their defence is very suspect. We've won 3 away games on the spin, and I am confident we can make it four.
Idk why, but I just feel a first Woking goal for academy graduate Tom Dryer off the bench.
Utterly embarrassing from FGR, we've got two million players out injured and yet they've got four international players and they get to call the game off.
Utterly ridiculous when they've maybe got a squad size of 40.
No serious Woking game for 3 weeks after tomorrow. Great.
Really tough for Jääskeläinen, but we all know he'll be back stronger
Terrible news for us, he's saved us so many times, earned us so many points, one of the very best in the division.
Reyes has big gloves to fill.
It's just a repeat of what happened last time. We showed so much grit and determination and absolutely deserved a point, but then Boreham Wood pull a moment of magic out of nowhere.
Such a spirited performance yet again from Woking, gutted to leave that game empty handed.
Ever wondered why Harry Kane became so good at football? Here's the answer:
He shared a dressing room with John Marquis for Millwall in the 11/12 season.
Goals before Marquis: 6
Goals after Marquis: 521
Marquis clearly taught Kane everything he knows ⚽
Don't get me wrong. We all know the players and staff will work their socks off and give it their all, but these injuries will push us beyond breaking point.
We have one defender and even if we sign someone, we won't be strong at the back, Boreham Wood will eat us alive...
This is how defending on Tuesday night against Boreham Wood is gonna look if we don't sign or recall anyone 😂
Here is a list of the Woking defenders fully fit and not suspended for the Boreham Wood game:
Jaiden Putman
Here are the unavailable defenders:
Ogie (1 game ban)
Browne (3 game ban)
Asare*
Richards
Okoli
Odusina
Akinola
Georgiou
Hinds
Patten
One defender Vs Boreham Wood 💀
Woking's league positions by round, compared to last season:
Woking have climbed 10 places in 8 games, if we keep this trajectory, we will end the season 21st in League One.
In all seriousness, could Woking make a push for the playoffs? Only 5 points behind 7th 👀
Well that game took years off my life.
Firstly the negatives, utterly stupid red card from Rico Browne, given the context, now he's gone for 3 games.
But we were brilliant to survive at the end, in such difficult circumstances, players playing out of position.
Great Win 🟡🔵
Updated: Woking's injury List:
Jääskeläinen
Hinds
Asare
Odusina
Akinola
Okoli
Richards
Georgiou
Patten
Browne*
F-Caskey
Ward
Paul-Lavaly
Harris
This is getting utterly ridiculous now, can we even field a team against Boreham Wood on Tuesday?
How bad is our luck. Goalkeepers aren't supposed to get injured.
How can this injury crisis get any worse?
My Prediction for Scunthorpe
Scunthorpe are under pressure and I'm hoping for something similar to what happened at Brunton Park. If Scunthorpe turn on their team, it'll be a win for us
Scunny are decent at home so I expect a close game, but I believe in us to get the job done.
